QUOTE(Johannas @ Sep 10 2017, 07:33 AM) You're a life saver man. Should be added to the first page of the thread Haha no worries. Not sure if earl-ku is still around this thread to make edits to the first post. QUOTE(Thrust @ Sep 10 2017, 08:09 AM) Do you guys still replace the fuel strainer at every 40,000 KM? It's a bit expensive doing so and I've seen newer Honda cars have a longer interval before replacing them. fuel strainer = fuel filter under the gear knob one? I remember reading last time someone say no need to change so frequent since our fuel is not so bad, but then someone else said it will affect your FC, and might not be good for the engine if did not change based on the recommended interval. I'll probably change mine at 60k interval My warranty just ended so I'm going for the 10k interval after this. Not sure if I should just stick with Honda Service Center or do outside.

QUOTE(mffa @ Oct 26 2017, 09:15 PM) I always stick to service centre. Now cars already 5 years old with 143k km Really satisfied with Kah Motor. Problem is a bit expensive. Fyi, my friend who service outside report car got problem . I really facepalm. I never had any problem, I believe Honda change my car parts b4 it is broken which is a good things, later got problem here and there also headache la if service outside. So, better stick bro to service centre. Yea I think I'll stick with SC too.. mine is 5 years old with 170k on the milage. Still very reliable, had to replace the starter motor (under warranty) right before my warranty ended.

QUOTE(Milo_O @ Nov 13 2017, 09:43 AM) Like 25k mileage. That's why i feel strange on the CVT gearbox. Googled for the keyword "Honda City 2010 Gearbox", quite a lot of ppl complain as well. Mind sharing the specific complain about the gearbox? Since most I saw is complains towards the CVT version. 2009 city onward Honda revert back to use normal 5-speed auto which is quite reliable. My mileage reaching 170k without any issue. Just normal maintenance at SC.

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Jan 29 2018, 10:48 PM) New owner of an old City 2012 reporting in! There seems to be some hammering sound that occurs randomly during connering. The hammer sound is like someone using a hammer to whack something repeatedly outside of the car. I felt corresponding vibration that feels like it's coming from the underside of the right side the car. But when I inspect the car underside after stopping at a safe place, there's nothing overhanging. It happens at random, so it hasn't actually happened that often. I'll try to replicate it but thus far have been unable to under controlled environment. Am also facing the difficulty to start up. The dealer say it's battery problem, so he changed it for me prior to car keys handover. Reach home and start car after a while then the car takes a few tries to start up again. Also, 2nd gear feels a bit sluggish and underpowered when engaging from 1st to 2nd. Is this normal? Other gears feel as they should. Thinking of sending to nearby Honda service centre for an official thorough mechanical check. Would appreciate input on the matters. Welcome to the club. Did you check with service center about your airbag replacement status? Just make sure they already replaced both the driver and passenger. Better to be safe than sorry.

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Feb 9 2018, 06:41 PM) Ya I checked the VIN online first thing I got home after viewing the car initially. It was done. Any common problems that creep up in this gen after some years of usage? Hmm.. not much of an issue really. My car is approaching 6 years old @ 175k mileage. The only major part that I have to replace the is the starter motor (replaced under warranty last year). Oh and my right driver side mirror cannot fold anymore. Haha. Btw, if you guys got problem with side mirror, it is covered under warranty as long as there's no visible sign of damage to it like scratches. Tried to claim mine, but since got a deep scratch, they denied it saying i must have hit something (which I did, lol)

I'm using 195/55R16 now. Since the tyre is wider, it keep hitting the inner fender especially when I carry a full 5 person in the car and the road is bumpy. Probably my suspension is almost end of life as well. Haha

QUOTE(Thrust @ Aug 28 2018, 08:33 PM) Price is right around there. Are you sure your compressor is fault. Best to get a 2nd opinion from another aircond shop. They did top up the gas and it seems fine for now. I'll try and send it to a different shop. Thanks for the suggestion.
