The way I see it, OSMC is built on top of raspbian so you can load the desktop and allows to install stuff easily like mysql server/aria2 which can't be done on openelec. Other than the boot time slower by like 2 seconds, everthing else seems snappy with the latest build. |

Been using fire tv stick for the past few days for streaming Netflix and using Kodi.
Gotta say I'm impressed how well Kodi runs on the stick,even on wireless network I was able to stream 8gb - 16gb mkv files without any stuttering. Provided you've got wireless repeater/router close by since it doesn't really have LAN port.
