QUOTE(voncrane @ May 8 2016, 12:29 AM) The SD card's storage needs to have its partition resized, so it recognizes the unused space. Partition resizing can be done either from within the RPI or externally, using a PC & GParted software. What specific OS is installed? Try the latest OpenELEC as it acknowledges the extra space automatically. The current OS from Raspberry Pi (OSMC). I think I've tried to partition the drive using window disk partition tools, and not sure why it can't be partitioned. If getting the OpenELEC mean that I'll need to reformat my current drive. Let me snap the picture of the current storage info. Guy, the current usable it 700MB, but it did detect the total of my 32GB drive. ![]() This post has been edited by hjh87: May 8 2016, 04:57 PM |

I just downloaded "Point Break" 42GB. But when i used Kodi to play the 00001.m2ts file, the video is grainier than most 1-2 GB video i watched. Is there any setting i should adjust?

Perhaps the inbuilt partition tool in Windows is lacking in this case. Cuz, most recommended using the Bootable GParted Live CD/USB. First check for a folder as "Chokia" commented and if still unavailable.. Try OpenELEC. You could backup the KODI installation too, for restore later. Done right, there should be little to no loss in video quality after conversion. Play the resulting mkv and compare pq. |

Is there any setting i should adjust? Compression actually reduces Video noise because it reduces details (which includes Video Noise). But too much compression will make the image softer and less sharp and may cause banding artifacts espc in dark scenes. So stick to a decent sized MKV version (acceptable balance between Sharpness and Noise) unless you want the HD audio found in the full m2ts version. |

QUOTE(kazekage_09 @ May 9 2016, 01:35 PM) Guys, just want to ask a casual question. Here's a quote from the "about" section that answers your questions. Though something tells me that you already know the answer, which should be pretty obvious. All these android box and kodi is considered legal or not lol? Although I already own one. Then how about those paid iptv such as malaysia iptv and XL 3.0? QUOTE Kodi® (formerly known as XBMC™) is an award-winning free and open source (GPL) software media center for playing videos, music, pictures, games, and more. Kodi runs on Linux, OS X, Windows, iOS, and Android, featuring a 10-foot user interface for use with televisions and remote controls. It allows users to play and view most videos, music, podcasts, and other digital media files from local and network storage media and the internet. IMPORTANT: The official Kodi version does not contain any content what so ever. This means that you should provide your own content from a local or remote storage location, DVD, Blu-Ray or any other media carrier that you own. Additionally Kodi allows you to install third-party plugins that may provide access to content that is freely available on the official content provider website. The watching or listening of illegal or pirated content which would otherwise need to be paid for is not endorsed or approved by Team Kodi. Summary: Access to media content, paid/free from authorized distributors such as Astro, TM, Netflix, Hulu, NBC, AMC, iFlix, etc, is legal. Access to such copyrighted media content from any other sources, whether free or paid $1M for it, is considered downright illegal. Usage of free or open-source software or hardware to play such does not make them legitimate. You could get prosecuted, as happening in countries like the UK and USA. That, technically speaking, u r in as much trouble as using unlicensed software on yr pc, keeping pasar malam DVDs.Before buy android box never bother about this lol. Only after bought then thought about it However, the first people to get into trouble are the owners of the addons if there is any infringement. 3 pioneers of piratebay were found guilty, jailed; 1channel was banned in uk; mashup was harassed until he dropped it, no more. If u wish to pursue this topic, can start a new thread, will have 100 pages in 2 days. There was a thread on this before, everyone argued until faces got green, I remember. |
