Gonna get the raspberry after I return from training. Anyone got playing issues with Genesis this past week? Been having slow and intermittent streaming.
Apart from Genesis and ol mashup. Any other recommendations for movie n series channels?

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Mar 11 2015, 06:03 PM) flirc is a bit pricey, there's always mini keyboards that works with rpi that doesn't cost too much There's also a guide where you can use any remote in your house to control rpi here using the GPIO pins on the pi I bought this one, still waiting for the delivery I mostly focus on ir since I already have a Logitech Harmony remote, that way I can just program other remote setting to the harmony. hey, did you get your remote from aliexpress yet? Does all the buttons work inside KODI? I am currently using my TV remote but once powered off cannot turn it ON unless I unplug/replug the usb.

QUOTE(Prissy Elf @ Apr 7 2015, 05:00 PM) Hi all, I installed xbmc/kodi on my phone (Galaxy Note 2) and have icefilms addon. When I tried to watch TV series on icefilms, it asked to enter a captcha but every time I typed in the captcha, it always say wrong captcha. I've tried all the different sources all giving same error. Anyone has any idea how to resolve this? Thanks! I too was having trouble with captchas, always a 50/50 chance of getting it right. So decided to go for GENESIS...no captcha. So i guess it solved my problem.

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Apr 9 2015, 04:11 PM) Yes, it works out of the box without having to configure anything I don't use the remote control that comes with it since only the GPIO IR module that matters So I just use my HP MCE remote since it has additional buttons and added it to my harmony settings » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « You can try setting CEC to "Ignore" when the TV is switched off, that way it doesn't power off the rpi. Plus, rpi doesn't really use much power when turned on 24/7 By pressing the TV off button, it doesn't affect the rpi at all. Have you tried the bundled remote at all? Would you mind testing it? If all main function works... I will get it. Also might help other forummers here looking for rpi kodi remote. Getting another rpi for my dad. Parents pau my bandwidth kau kau liao. Haha. Donating some money to dknight for his work for azdrama. That guy's a life saver.

QUOTE(alucard89 @ Apr 11 2015, 04:24 PM) The bundled remote works just fine, any other remote can be configured to work with openelec rpi. Seems like RC6 remote like my hp mce remote works without having to setup anything. Btw, you do need to place the gpio ir module like this to get it to receive ir signals properly » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Gonna get it...i read on one of the description on lelong...it says works up to 8 feet only? that's a very short distance. my tv is like more than 10feet away.

Happy happy buka.... Aiks... No battery. Haha. Got battery n hooked it up.... Niceeeeee. Turned the remote around.. MADE IN MALAYSIA. Bought this from hk. Haha. Made a circle back home. Now gonna get another rpi for my dad. All buttons working fine except... It can't turn the rpi ON if it's turn off. There's nothing in the openelec setting page though. Any ideas? QUOTE(AVFAN @ May 3 2015, 11:26 AM) boxing fans, not sure if kodi has it but if yr device can get cctv5: catch this boxing match LIVE, now at CCTV5 in HD! Mayweather vs Pacquiao That would be awesome. In church. Cannot watch now. QUOTE(alucard89 @ May 3 2015, 11:39 AM) RPI doesn't really have standby mode, which is why that option is not available on the menu. Even if you manage to send a command to shut it down, you'd still have to manually turn in on since it doesn't really have power switch. Since it doesn't really consume much power (<50 cent per month based on tnb tarif? any electrician can clarify this) I just leave it on 24/7 I thought so too.. But sometimes hands too fast accidentally hit power off button. Gotta reset the player. Need to cut off the power button on the remote.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ May 4 2015, 10:25 AM) honestly, after 1.5 yrs, i find myself not using kodi much anymore as the android apps combined offer more, faster and easier in navigation. have fun! Do tell what android apps you are using... Please share. I wanna test test also. I find Pulsar is good. Fast and efficient. Although there's not much control to the language of the movie that streams.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ May 4 2015, 06:03 PM) i already quoted... popcorn2u, showbox, mobdro - these 3 covers 60% of my needs. the rest are chinese apps, will not dwell here... pulsar... successor to mashup? can u post link? i like to try. tq. Ahhh...popcorn2u...i am frequently using popcorntime on my laptop and android tablet....it is exactly like Pulsar. but pulsar gives you control of which site to leech from. Pulsar...basically get the original zip and the unofficial for links.
