QUOTE(leah235 @ Feb 28 2014, 03:24 PM) submit proposal -> present to panel interviewer -> passed/ not -> panel determined the main subject according to expertise. And NO, my proposal didn't get to circulate around. yaya, this is the way it is supposed to be. If they wanna know more about the research, then come to the presentation.

QUOTE(Starbucki @ Feb 28 2014, 03:18 PM) I could never understand why some institutions brandish around candidates' proposals like this. I wouldn't like my proposal flying around like that. Glad that you finally only needed to submit the abstract. yea, i have to dig around for the policies and show it to them. only then, they withdrawn their decision. luckily.

At least your uni is managed well enough to have policies on this sort of thing. You are resourceful enough to search for it, and gutsy enough to stick to your guns.

QUOTE(mycolumn @ Feb 28 2014, 02:19 PM) I've submitted my full proposal to the office for graduate studies. Now, someone wanted to circulate my full research proposal to everybody zzz. The correct instruction- according to the policy is the circulation of abstract only. By the way, a decision has been made. That someone withdrawn whatever he/she had said. Only full abstract is circulated now. Good to hear that! Who's the someone? Not your supervisor, I hope. And I'm really curious which uni is this! Mind sharing? Perhaps through PM? hehe

Hahaha. Anyway, glad everything turns up good for you in the end! Good luck in your presentation! (You're good at keeping things ambiguous. Wouldn't even want to disclose the gender of your supervisor. Not bad not bad )

But that was because he/she is not in my area of research at all. Yups, thanks.
