Why cannot mention the uni? hmm.gif

Anyway, for UM, you would need to do a seminar presentation within the first two semester (or fourth for PhD), which is basically a proposal defense. You will need to prepare a short report containing literature reviews, methodology, up-to-date results and submit to the office. The officer would then circulate internal e-mail to everyone in the university to invite them to attend the presentation. The e-mail would only contain the candidate's name, student ID, topic of research, and (sometimes) a short description or abstract.

I think this what someone from your faculty meant.

The person in my faculty said "Full proposal including the whole proposal and references"

Yes, you would need to submit the full proposal to the office. In fact, you may need to submit 3-4 hard copies of the report. I doubt you would need to distribute your full research proposal to everyone.

As mentioned by fellow Critical_Fallacy, talk to your faculty's office and get the correct information. After all, you would still need to follow the instructions if you wish to graduate right? biggrin.gif

Cheers!

PS: Do keep us posted after you have talked to them!

Are you worried that everyone else would be reading your proposal and your framework?  biggrin.gif

I've submitted my full proposal to the office for graduate studies. Now, someone wanted to circulate my full research proposal to everybody zzz.

The correct instruction- according to the policy is the circulation of abstract only.

By the way, a decision has been made. That someone withdrawn whatever he/she had said. smile.gif Only full abstract is circulated now.

Good to hear that! thumbup.gif

Who's the someone? Not your supervisor, I hope.

And I'm really curious which uni is this! Mind sharing? Perhaps through PM? hehe

nonono, of cuz not my supervisor. If it's my supervisor, i would've terminated him/her for not respecting privacy/originality.

Terminating your supervisor? Hahaha. Anyway, glad everything turns up good for you in the end! Good luck in your presentation!

(You're good at keeping things ambiguous. Wouldn't even want to disclose the gender of your supervisor. Not bad not bad biggrin.gif )
