Nice! Have you ordered? Very similar to mine, except it is a 6 speed. It is full yellow. It sits on the shelf most of the time not ridden. Not enough time to ride bikes! Bromptons are nice riding if the gearing is right. I use the 6th gear most of the time which means the chain wheel needs to be at least a 50t. It is only a 44t now.

50t is the most ideal chain ring for day to day commuting.

Both of mine on 54T and my partner with 50T. She was having hard time when her B was with 44T. Suffered like a overworked hamster when riding overtime.

For those who were interested in the bike seat I got and asked me about it, you may like this story.

This evening my wife started cooking and suggested I take my 9-mth-old son out for a bike ride. So I unfolded the bike, put in his seat, she put on his helmet for him, I strapped him in, then we started off. I have a small padang 3 minutes ride away, so I went there first, a few rounds and we continued to the other padang about 1km away.

When we reached there, there were a few things (fishing pond, paintball park) I wanted to show him, but I noticed he was looking in a weird direction to the right. He fell asleep in his chair! Had to tighten the strap so he didn't lean too far forward, and he continued to sleep the whole 1+km home.

Story finish.

And to the sifus, what's the 'feel' difference between 16 and 20 inch? I've been riding 20 inch XDS, feels pretty much like the simple bikes I rode back in secondary school. Never tried those 24-26 inches which supposed to be much more stable/faster. What's 16 inch like?

To ride without hands, take a UNICYCLE challenge and you can have wheel size of your choice.

That is quite true. But why?
It's due to the Caster angle of the fork. This is the same effect as when you are driving the car and have turned the steering wheel to the max. As you let go of the steering wheel and continue to drive forward, the steering wheel will automatically straighten itself out, this is due to the forces at work with the caster angle.

The bicycle 26 in fork is much longer than the 20 inch or 16 inch, and so the wheel will keep straight even if you don't hold the handlebars.

But another cause of this effect is the wheelbase. If the wheelbase is too short, the bike will be relatively unstable. It is rather twitchy and you have to continuously hold on to the handlebars.

Once I have tried a demo Brompton bike and managed to cycle without my hands holding the bars or rather let go my hands but have my hands still close to the handles in case the front wheel turns by itself.
Compared to other foldable bikes I find that the B is more stable than other 20 inch bikes I have tried. It is almost certainly due to the caster angle of the fork combined with the longer wheelbase of the brompton. So the stability of the B bike adds on to the overall safety aspect of the bike.
