Yeh me too...i wanna buy a 360 but need more info...so....RM1520...is for Asian pack...and what bout the one without a HHD...can you save games then?Maybe by using a memory stick?

we support only the ORIGINAL, so any modified or JackSparrow games talks are not allowed..

if u buy the core package(without the HDD), u can save ur game on the memory unit, sold seperately for RM140(or maybe less)..

but if u want to use the XBOX LIVE fuction, i suggest u better have a HDD for downloadable contents, etc.

Just want to enquire on the stability of the xbox360 unit? I read that there's a overheating / voltage problem. can anyone comment?

it u stuck ur console inside a drawer or a confined space while playing games, yes it WILL overheat..juz keep the console well aired and ventilated, and it'll be fine..

and i think the voltage problem occurs on the japanese console only, due to incompatible power output..

hi i've some questions to ask:

1. how much does the asian premium package at Imbi? can somebody check for me..?

2. using the original Xbox 360's VGA HD Cable, can it be connected to a CRT monitor? if so, how?

3. will the color of the xbox console changes to brownish someday? i'm having this problem with my dreamcast..

hola SHOfrE3zE, here's some answers for ur questions:

1. the price is about the same as the one i mentioned earlier; about RM1500 and maybe u can bargain for less..

2. if u buy the original Microsoft VGA cable, u can plug it in straight to ur monitor VGA port, and the cable also comes bundled with an adapter for those that don't have that port..

3. since no one is complaining about the console surface turns brownish over a period of time, so i guess it won't..
but if i'm not mistaken, the 360 console material isn't the same as the DC's..

and one more thing, if u're gonna go shop for 360 console at imbi, sungei wang, or any other place around the triangle area, pls be cautious, coz some of the shops will slice ur throat if u don't be careful enough..

Oh yes..one conman at IMBI...not AND or the shop beside him.....the shop one floor below....
He said the stable version(hehhe...make me laugh) is RM1700....and the locally modded one is RM1480....tsk tsk tsk...
Quickly went to Andy and bought the console.....better buy...tested the jostick but hadproblem...so changed to a new ori joystick...So i suggest check first before take your console back home.....

I mean between USA version and ASIAN version.

Is it that USA version only has english words on its box while Asian version has english and chinese words on its box?

I can't answer your question on NTSC/UC boxes but I can tell you about the NTSC/J ones.

Mine was distributed by Ingram Micro (I presume they are from Singapore, but you need to confim this yourself).

The Asian console has these features that distinguish it from other regions
1. It has Mandarin text on the box (i think it's mandarin but i cant read it >_< ). I think the US console is only english.
2. At the back of the box, it has NTSC/J written on it. Only 2 regions have NTSC/J on them, Japan, and ASIA. US consoles will have NTSC/UC (C being Canada)
3. On the side with the security label, the label States: "Xbox 360 video game system SING/HK"; For distribution in SING/HK. That guarantees you that this is an Asian console (unless the shop keeper switched them without telling you but highly unlikely (check first).
4. Asian consoles are DVD region 3; US consoles are region 1; and Japanese consoles are region 2 (i think). Thats another way to distinguish.

this thread has been a very good help for noobs like me who are both interested
at the xbox360 and also the live feature, plus ORIGINAL games.

i am currently waiting for Forza 2, so thats the main reason y i choose MS rather
than sony. i just hope forza comes out with asian ver. of Forza. i was quite surprised
too to learn that regular VGA-LCD monitors can deliver good quality images! saves tonnes on money in spending on a HDTV.

for the LIVE feature, does our Streamyx support it smoothly? more importantly?
do i need to really get the USD100 wireless adapter (looks like USB connection).
wat if i just got a rm90 USB wireless adapter for the pc? wat about server issues?
can we join international servers... like spore, australia, uk etc... or its just
limited to msian servers.
