warrant should be registered within with your IMEI there.
user never can claim a new phone from HTC, at least here. unless your phone is 14 days old or lesser
camera issue just send it for warranty, i sent mine and got back already. so far so good.

my colleague using it. it is thicker anyway. but he never use any case on m7.

i know dat feel, when i sent my phone like almost for a month for claim. i using company faulty test phone ipong 4s and it keep switch in between silence and normal profile. keep vibrating non stop on table

but can't complain tho since that is company phone, better than nothing. lucky still can call, sms, whatsapp and play 2048 game XD

i use metal slim, rock texture for more gripping lol XD

i think is better than 4.3 since 4.3 make m7 "hottest" phone ever when you go to no signal area. 4.4 not hot at all

send to warranty for the camera issue, i sent and it is so far so good after repair.

that 2 black dots is sensors la
one is light sensor, you use finger cover it and see your screen got dim or not (auto-brightness your screen first)
another one i think is proximity sensor

first batch digi m7? you need request change newer sim card to support LTE.

my colleague said his HTC can be repair camera because he did 3rd party service replace whole housing and screen before (void warranty)...that day he asked manager in HTC SC and he said can repair...

just replace camera module only, other fault does not count.

so who think his phone void warranty maybe you can try to ask and see can get repair or not.

i suggest you bring your phone to service center and ask the manager about it see you can get repair for free or not because purple tint issue is really HTC's fault.

my colleague drop his phone before and changed whole case in 3rd party shop, then his warranty is void already, but he asked at SC there and can claim warranty. just for camera part only.

so i think you can try your luck for that.

well anyway for your case either change the part or whole housing in 3rd party shop, the 3rd party shop one will not glue the speaker grill part like HTC does so in future you no need worry destroy whole housing again to replace something small.

that's all i know about housing replacement... price i think is around 700

duno when M7 will get lolipop update

group chat can be mute in like 2-3 hours and you need untick notification for that.
