For Giroud I understand he not perform when play big team.

But if he can score+assist again mid (MU excluded) n low table team it will be OK.

Man utd won title last time even not doing ok on big 4 team

They're 7th, but again we are not talking about them this season but them last season. As our friend said they won title last time even when not doing good against top 4. One of top 4 is Arsenal and they got a win and a draw against Arsenal, same as this season.

Meanwhile, up to this point Arsenal really not doing too good on top 4. 3 more game to go against top 4 (imo Everton, chel, mansiti and pool) and we only got 5 pts out of 12 points. But still there is 9 more pts from 3 more game against them.

Anyway everything is possible and I really hope Arsenal doing good, but statistically, it didnt look too good..

very hard to straight away to jump into conclusion for this season as all the teams tend to drop points here and there. Liverpool dethroned us from the top in December after we draw with Chelsea. They were then down up to 8 points below us in January-February, and everyone start to talk about City vs Chelsea Vs Arsenal. It is still Feb and they are back in the race. + Spurs who will fight hard for CL place.

City went up the summit in January, and now it's Chelsea's turn, and it is just 4 pts from the 4th place.

What I can say is that this season is magnificent. As for now, what I want the most is FA cup Quarter Final.
It's gonna be hard as Liverpool just came out from 2 HUGE victory in the league. But it is at the Emirates that promise us a lot.

Giroud missed chances too many in recent games. Needed goal poacher to turn chances into goals.

hope his lack of sharpness in front of goal doesn't cost us too much.
if a striker is not capable to convert a chance into at least a shot on target, it will demoralised midfielders.
this leads to midfielder keep trying to be creative to make the penetration on their own, which in the end they failed during the game last night.
the sagna cross still running in my head icon_question.gif and I think the CRY's Chamakh would convert that one.

bcoz rosicky played...Poldi wont beat Cazrola for LWF/LMF position. And he also doesn't perform playing #9.
I would also like to have poldi as a sub late in the game to replace wilshere..

I think poldi will play against Liverpool this weekend. will probably start at LWF, Cazorla on the right with wilshere-arteta AGAIN. I hope the perform well dis time though.

Giroud missed chances too many in recent games. Needed goal poacher to turn chances into goals.

Haha..i think with wallcott and ramsey out,Ozil barely can do anything. I think he played good this morning. I believe Podolski should be given chance last 20 minutes plus Bendtner. Cant wait for Ramsey to be back...they can dominate the league back. (If luck is on our side)

This should be easy for Reds. SAS will rule it again.

Boleh tak aku bribe Wenger..
Supaya dia bench Giroud and play Poldi..
Giroud have been awful lately..
I would bench him and let him sit there for a while..
So he could think of how to improve his game.

Szczesny was bench as well last season for quite sometime when his performance dropped..
And than when he came back in, he was what he was now until today.

Super save indeed.

He is blossoming into a top class goalkeeper for us.

If he continues his progress we would have our keeper sorted for the next >10 years and be the next David Seaman. Hopefully he will be as successful as David as well.

'Super computer' reveals how the Premier League table will look in May

Now, the geniuses at Bloomberg have gone one step further and used their super computer to predict the outcome – and winner – of this year’s Premier League. The conclusion produced from the numbers crunched in their complex algorithm is that Chelsea will lift the Premier League title with 83 points, beating Manchester City by only a single point in the race for the top.

Plucky Arsenal will, according to Bloomberg, finish third, while resurgent Liverpool will indeed finish in the top four, quite comfortably, ahead of Tottenham.

No love for Arsenal?

There is one so called Zimbabwe Prophet predict Pool to win EPL this season..

And then there this super computer telling us it would be Chelsea..

Then got this oracle who predict ManU to win it all (dont dare argue with this oracle, its all about the game..)

And the pundits votes ManCiti to win coz of them squad depth and quality..
No one predict Arsenal to win it?

I can understand his dissapointment.

Arsenal trying to look for a goal.
Giroud not playing well.
Got 2 more subs to use.

Logically, if i was Poldi, what i have in mind at that time: "Come on, put me on the field, i can score the winning goal(s)".

But, that did not happen.

But, i think Poldi will start vs Liverpool.
And score loads of goal, and keep Giroud benched until end of season.

:sigh: Podolski is not Wenger's golden boy.

Giroud is obviously tired and he doesn't have a very powerful shot. Giroud relies heavily on balls fed to him but when that is cut off, his strength is almost useless. Podolski on the other hand is more versatile, he's not afraid to take chances and his long shot is very powerful. If it's not enough to score a goal, those saves from his attempts would wear the opposition's goalkeeper down or at least parries off for a corner.

I'm really afraid that Podolski will ask for a transfer out of Arsenal due to lack of play time and given Arsene Wenger's character, he will never plead for anyone to stay. He'll just say "he's a bright lad and I am sure it's the best option available to him"

Wenger sort it out or see Poldi leaving in the next transfer window.
I'm sure he is damn frustrated and I also effing frustrated as Wenger didn't use all the subs in the last match.

Wenger said that Podolski is one of the best finisher he has ever seen yet he doesn't get to play much if any.

Last season it was his injury that brought down him to only subs level. Fine.

This season ??

I don't understand why fans still wanna see NB52 play after his disaster game against Coventry. No way he can score against Liverpool.

After replaying a lot of times to when Giroud got the opportunity in the last match..
I can say that Giroud is still good. Vidic tolak and all a lot. Making Giroud hard to header and shoot.
He also looks tired... Need to rest him up and bench for a while.

Lol. I must say to other team suppoters, im not supporting Arsenal for trophies, im supporting them for pure football and philosophy. If i wanted success, i will be cheering for liverpool, man utd or real madrid back then. Troll all you want because what i know is that, many *** *** are plastic fans, ****** & *** **** only got supporters after oil money pumps in.

Arsene Wenger is way miles ahead of Mourningho and even Pep Guardiola. Its simple because of footballing reasons, his contribution to towards football, not just winning trophies. One does not simply judged by how many trophies he have won but overall contribution on footballing world. (I can say that people who judging success by trophies is merely a glory hunter).

And...it is not me, not the Arsenal fans who gave him the best manager of the century.

Still the unbeaten 49, Arsenal.

No. but still, you have to know about your club history (unless your club didn't have any history, of course)

And to answer your question, for the past 8 years:
- we've built a new shiny state-of-art stadium, using our hard-earned money (mind you, sponsorship money isn't the same as sugar-daddy money)
- and it was expected that we can't compete for trophies, as we have a very restricted financial sources (we were forced to sell so many our best players in the process). But we still manage to finish in the top 4 each season.
- all the sponsorship that helped in the Emirates project has come to an end. We now have more-lucrative sponsorship with Emirates and Puma.
- the stadium debt is very well-covered now. (not yet fully paid)
- the stadium now generates ~100m per season.
- we are far more stable in financial now. It is now our time to compete again.

Those words were certainly vicious from Mourinho. But Wenger seem to have said his piece out of amusement, where as Mourinho looked a little rattled. I'd say JM came out looking worse imo. I reckon Wenger knew exactly what was coming from Mourinho and perhaps everything is working as intended.

I'm nervous about tomorrow night by the way.

Tbh, Mou and Wenger is diff type of managers.

Wenger has a degree in finance iinm. He had done very well for Arsenal financially in maintaining the team's financial. But other than that, he wants a certain brand of football to be played too. He had been at Arsenal since 1996. So yea, kudos to him for maintaining Arsenal's finance and developing them into a certain brand of attacking football.

Mou has only been in Chelsea for about 4-5 years. So it's a bit unfair to compare Chelsea and Arsenal. Arsenal sticked with AW for about 2 decades. Let's give Mou 2 decades with Chelsea, and see how it turns out. Mou is more of a tactician and yup, result oriented, win by hook or crook (park the bus/aeroplane as u all call it). I would really like to see Mou staying in Chelsea for the long term. Or should I say, I would like to see Mou do a SAF job in Chelsea.

And about these 'glory hunter' tags given to team. I'm kinda against it. haha. History has to be built, not just overnite success. So if u are comparing with Chelsea and say we ain't got no history, then might as well compared to other London teams like West Ham, Fulham, QPR. I mean history and titles need time to be won. Like Mou said, we are still a young horse. brows.gif I seriously think Mou can build something in this current Chelsea set up.

Emirates is a magnificent stadium, so what if we skipped a few trophies during these past 8 years? We've got a big ass stadium to show for, how people didn't notice the stadium all this while is beyond me

I believe glory hunter tags are usually given to fan, not team. We have no problem if Mourinho wants to stay at Chelsea for a long time. We are not the one who sacked him in the first place during his first spell. Your owner did.

Wenger was obviously referring to his time at Real where he failed to win anything in his final season despite having a team full of Galaticos. Pressure exists whether or not you have failed to win anything in 8 years or just one year.

The one who stayed and support during ups and downs of course wasn't glory hunters. It is tested now at Man utd. But its the fans who only measure success from how many trophies they won.

run away from chelsea when the team start to show problems.

go to real, with all those billion euros in the bags + so many world class players still can't have success as much as barcelona.

then come back to chelsea when real start to show some problems + fergie gone (so he think he got nice shot to win something here lol)

I don't know if you are just being ignorant or you don't detect the digs, sarcasm and mockery in almost each and every post at all.

Fact is football fans will always agree to disagree and a certain degree of biasness will always exist towards defending the club you support regardless of any circumstances hence throwing any form of "discussion" between people who support different clubs out of the window.

12 games to go, 1 point off of the top. Our next three games are Sunderland (H), Stoke (A) and Swansea (H). That's an essential 9/9 points before our toughest fixtures.

If we get decent results vs Spurs (A), Chelsea (A), City (H) and Everton (A), at least 7/12 points then I feel we can win the title.

We'll have to play West Ham (H), Hull (A), Newcastle (H) and Norwich (A) as our final four.

So that's 9/9 from the first three, 7/12 from the four after and 12/12 from the final four. I know it's a lot to ask but I feel it'll definitely secure the title, especially if we knock points off of City and Chelsea, while they drop points vs Liverpool.

We CAN do this, we just need to be behind the team, anyway, focus on the FA Cup tomorrow first, we've also got a great shot of winning that if we can beat Liverpool tomorrow. Keep the faith my Gooners.

You want a discussion where there is equal chance of either people disagreeing or agreeing with you with no biasness involved? Your own club's thread. Each club has their own thread created on here for a reason. As simple as that.

haha. I don't noe about the other Chelsea supporter's post. But in my post, I just state the obvious that both AW and JM is different type of manager, so of coz both club will be managed differently, which I think it is a fair bit of discussion on it.

I was not talking about agreeing with me or disagreeing with me, just simply stating the obvious. haha.

If u feel offended, sorry then. I was merely 'discussing'. You can actually read back what i post, I really meant no harm. icon_rolleyes.gif peace out.

Fair bit of discussion for other people maybe but not between Arsenal and Chelsea fans. Like I mentioned, the biasness will screw any form of discussion over.

Its pretty obvious you will not be getting any "discussion" with people disagreeing with you 99% of the time even though for all we know what you say is true.

It is not a matter if you meant harm or not, most of the time people don't, but fact is you will. Imagine us going to your thread and just saying "The reason Chelsea is successful is because of Roman and without his money you guys will be nowhere". Or you can come and say "Arsene is tactically week as compared to other top managers hence failure to win anything". Whether it is true or not it is debatable but football fans being football fans no matter how true if it reflects your club in a negative light they will always defend the club they support.

I've been on Football Lounge never mind football itself long enough to know it NEVER works. People post what they perceive, then people get offended, posts something back, suddenly one gets offended insults mother, one insults father, people report, mod ban etc etc.

TLDR its useless seeking any form of discussion involving both the club you support and what more a rival. So why even bother wasting time trying to "discuss"? Just stay in your own thread. Unless you are looking to troll or pick a fight. As mentioned for the umpteenth time. Each club has their own thread for "discussion" as you like to put it for a reason.

oh bull... any honest fan would knw it was because of mou's failure in the UCL with chelsea after a net spending of 1billion buying players from other teams to weaken any sort of competition.

this only for Mr. Triumphant Elephant. I want to do it in the PM but he decided to discuss here..well dont put the blame on me..(edited as i sent it to myself)

you choose to stay and discuss here..while we can do it in the PM...

BBC sport editor Mihir Bose added: "It's clear this relationship has been breaking up for a long time."

Former England manager Graham Taylor believes the beginning of the end came when Michael Ballack and Shevchenko were brought in, reportedly against Mourinho's wishes.

Taylor told 5Live: "Once you take away the authority the manager has in signing players, you're on a slippery slope.

"What I would say about Mourinho is his record is with underachieving players and when Shevchenko and Ballack came in, it disturbed the balance.

"They've never looked as fluid and that's because the manager probably did not himself believe that is the way they should be playing."

Mourinho still had three years left on his contract, worth about £5m a year, after agreeing a new deal in May 2005.

Mind the word 'solely' in my previous posts.

Tbf, I'm not surprised you didn't care, as you've been pampered by the oil money as this while.
Why don't you go ask Leeds United's fans, or Portsmouth's. They'll give you a definite answer.

Btw, there's no point I try to make you understand, you'll never get it. icon_idea.gif

Lel. I guess we HV different opinion on success definition. I don't blame u though. Why would I ask Leeds and Pompey fans? Why don't u ask barca on how to play beautifully and get result at the same time? Or even Swansea. They did play beautifully last season + win coc.

Lol, chel$ea. forever in arsenal's shadow. Wannabe club with sugar daddy money to "buy" instant success. Breed so many annoying glory hunting fans who will find all sort of excuses to justify their spending and theft of other players. Man city > chelsea because at least they try to play attacking football instead of desperate and boring bus parking and ball hoofing like chel$ea with their great wall of 2 billion pound.

Come on put up a strong team. More realistic to win fa cup this season with so many big teams out. Not easy to win bayern over 2 legs. Probably the strongest
team in Europe this.season.

Honestly speaking.

Giroud surely will not be playing.

Morale gonna be so low in the camp.

Not because of him not playing, but the shocking scandal.

If Wenger is sincere with his strict rules n disciplines then he shld know his compatriot's Arsenal career is over.
This guy isnt just let down his wife, but also let down his teamates n fans in this critical moment when we have better chances to get something this season than previous seasons.
Different wrongdoing but still its no different than what RVP had done.
I'd rather prefer to watch Arsenal with Bendtner or Sonogo upfront.

Arteta-Flamini & Jek-Monreal. Big hole in the mid and both side of the defense.

AW still dreaming the cup tht he never won with Arsenal #UCL. Finger cross.

Great performance from the lads after 10mins kick-off.

Ox is so lively from the flank and Sanogo shown he is better thn Giroud for 45mins.

we r lucky sturridge missed both the chances

almost 2-0 in the first 5 mins
keep tempo and as long 11 vs 11 we can win this game
