anyone here using custom launchers? just got my hands on the minix neo u1 yesterday, and wondering if there are better launchers.. the last discussion here on custom launchers was from almost a year ago and wondering if you guys are using something else now..

the main thing i dislike on the minix launcher is the big kodi tile is actually just a folder, and i'll need an extra click to get to the app i need..

I'm planning to evaluate SquareHome 2, which seems to be the favourite on minixforum, and TVLauncher, which seems real clean and simple..

any other suggestions/recommendations?

Ordered the HiMedia Q10Pro. That was the easy part. Tweaking it will be the hard part. I don't expect the seller to load and update everything for me so I guess I will have to rely to you people to assist me. Thanks in advance.

I guess I'll have to update the Android and Kodi systems once I get it (after I have configured all the connections). I think this can be done easily as Google Play Store is pre-installed in the box. Then it will be content/source searching. Any recommendations? The box is basically for the missus and she watches Cantones (HK), Chinese (PRC), English and Korean movies/programmes. Even local Astro content is good. That will keep her occupied.

Do I need to customise the launcher?

Finally received the Mini MXiii ii bought on behalf of a friend yesterday morning and had it setup using AresWizard which was a breeze.

Smooth and snappy as expected based on other similar spec. Installed others like Rice, FlyingFox, TV2.0 etc etc etc without drama using the stock file manager. Wifi connected very well.

However encountered 3 problems..

- There's an update but when i tried via OTA, the installation encountered error

- The video brightness in Kodi, apk and even other movie file played seems slightly darker

- There's this small icon that appears on right middle of the screen, can't figure out yet how to remove it (refer to last pic)

But for now, it's good overall

I just noticed one more issue, I'm using PC speaker and my left side of my speaker is not working... Tried with PC, it is working well. Just on this box. It seems only happening today. Anything I can do?
Tried on few apps and Kodi, the same. Anyone can advise me?

Android box is a pretty easy thing to setup if you are an Android user. I mean, even girls like me can do it, you guys can too. Just buy a box which you like and good to go.
