Alright, I will do it. However, I'm quite sure the noise from speaker. I pulled the speaker to my ear to listen to it.
of course you can hear from speaker because the hissing sound has been amplified Android TV Box

QUOTE(dwRK @ Jan 21 2017, 12:08 PM) [CODE]u will always read all this coax vs optical over the web, says coax theoretically better than optical because it doesn't need to convert signal twice like optical hence lower jitter kind of thing. but for me, optical sounds better to me, a bit clearer sound. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jan 21 2017, 01:19 PM) For same file, i find little difference between the 2. i am not believer in all these cables. But for coaxial, a noticeable diff comparing high grade audio rca cable vs cheap common one. for optical, i just get the cheap 1 from computer shop. for coaxial, i just get the cheap 1 from hardware shop. for hdmi (below 2m), i just use the 1 bundle with device. for rca, i bought the 3 meter philips because best denki got offer last time. for speaker cable, i just get the RM4/meter from jalan pasar. i did try the RM13/meter belden cable, but i feel a tad bright to me. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jan 29 2017, 12:10 PM) Use of ext memory is not good for fast input/output. +1 on thisWill be sluggish, some apps will not even work. A 8gb gross net of firmware, apps, junk, cache leaves u with too little for certain apps like popcorntime and kodi quasar. Will be struggling to clean, remove this and that all the time. Trust us who have used 8gb boxes. these internal memory works like ssd, bigger storage faster, better chip also faster. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Feb 1 2017, 02:08 PM) I didn't know ES File Explorer is that bad and I'm still using it. until u have try out file commander, u will be amazed how clean and easy the file sharing on box using its "pc file transfer" function. turn on the service and you can access your box contents via browser on your mobile or pc.Maybe can test the options you guys posted earlier. |

Now using total commander for some old school cool... you mean the write permission that thing? if not mistaken the app will prompt you and guide you to make it works.i swear the file commander premium is the best for the period. it also tagged as editor choice in play store. premium apk keyword: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

ok…since today talking about file manager, let me share (or re-share) more about box softwares for new comers.
tv box softwares: 1. the operating system - of course we talk about android here, old version like kitkat and lollipop still works but new box now shipped with marshmallow and nougat. for tv box, latest android not necessary the best because it still depends on the box firmware. well, if u found offer on old box, u still can buy it as long it is lollipop and above. fyi, kitkat uses dalvik runtime while lollipop onwards use ART runtime. but don't assume if you get latest android version and your box will be future proof. no such thing. 2.firmware - here's the difference in stability and compatibility between boxes. nvidia, minix, wetek, himedia, zidoo, and some other well known companies develop better firmware than those generic no brand tv box (always but not definitely). good firmware ensures local files and online contents play smoothly. hd audio video decoding capability yada yada bla bla bla… 3. audio and video players - good firmware bundled with good audio and video players. if no, perhaps you can install mx player v1.8.6 and above. for dolby and dts audio decoding, you could google yourself about custom codec for mx player. again, latest version not necessary the best because tv box is not using touchscreen and mx player doesn't have a dedicated version for tv box. 4. file manager and browser - these 2 apps are most use apps other than video player or video streaming apps. stock file manager and browser are totally fine get the job done. for better experience, you can try asus file manager and file commander. for me, both firefox and chrome are good browsers for tv box if you use with wireless keyboard mouse / touchpad. any alternative? personally i use brave browser which resemblance to chrome. 5. live tv streaming apps - there are paid and legal, paid but illegal, free and legal, free but illegal. the legal one you could most probably find in google play store, while the illegal one you might need to find and download the .apk file and install yourself. discussion has been going on and on, new comers gonna do your homework and use the search button. 6. video on demand (vod) - normally we will install kodi (formerly known as xbmc) or spmc, find related repo, then install the vod service from the repo. question: where to find the related repo? new comers gonna do your homework again and please use the search button within the related thread. of course, live tv could be in both .apk form or kodi repo, same goes with video on demand. 7. launcher - normally the stock launcher works best. so choose the tv box with the launcher you like the most. of course you can install 3rd party launcher from google play store, but later you will find it either too bloated, not stable, or not optimised for tv box navigation. |
