I think it will be expensive if it detached since you need to clip each part of the kit to make it work...

QUOTE(Stifler the Stifmeister @ Mar 4 2014, 11:15 PM) Waa... Your method is ? My formula is for metal, like this: 1st spray metallic black, then spray metallic silver . Lastly chrome coat. http://gunplacore.blogspot.com/2013/04/tut...paints-and.html |

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Mar 4 2014, 08:55 PM) Hmm IMHO still does not look like the chrome-plated kits (example MG Phenex: http://dalong.net/review/mg/m178/m178_p.htm ). Chrome-plated do have mirror-like reflection |

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Mar 5 2014, 01:37 AM) alternatively you can use chrome powder rub on gloss black painted kit Chrome powder or compound hard to find. Even for real car use not sure you can find at hobby shop easily Must order from other country, here tada. So I usually do the hard way, spray metallic black as base then spray very light metallic silver as coat. When half dry use track cloth to wipe the surface. More you wipe more shinny chrome. And another alternatively way : is using Mr.DIY chrome spray paint. But not as good as airbrush and compounds la. |

You really dig deep into RG huh Actually, I don't dig RG. So far all my kits are MGs, wanted to get exclusive and limited stuffs. Hence the RGs and HGs. Some of them were free actually. |

Chrome-plated do have mirror-like reflection lol I did say chrome finish so obviously not 100% same as chrome plated kit, like a certain paint marked as "chrome", you dont expect mirror finishing like chrome plated kit right? but still have same glossiness like chrome finish should beplus chrome plated is ugly anyway + fingerprint magnet I would use flat coat on my chrome plated kit if I buy one like someone here did with HGUC Delta Gundam » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
