Any tips on how to minimize nubs on plated kits that are NOT undergated? Because that's what Unicorn Phenex is. Such a PITA. doh.gif

It's selling for RM396 at TimeMachine, FYI. Not sure about the other shops.

for plated kits, you can't completely remove the nubs, only can cover it

about the MG phenex

according to syd, the nubmark is visible if you look closely, but when you assembled everything, the nub marks were well hidden and the bling bling will make you forget about the marks.
Anyone who familiar with syd's work know that his nub mark removal is not that perfect (only used nipper and knife most of the time)

so don't worry about the mark, just buy it biggrin.gif

don't, i'm afraid the paint will make it worse, unless you have the chrome-gold-machine-thing

It's electro plated, no airbrush can achieve that 100%.

not paint whole kit, just apply some gold paint on the nubmarks, at least less eyesore than naked nubmarks

Hmm I remember last time in Asobit City they have service to chrome-plated your kit. Though last time I saw they chrome plated parts tree. Not sure whether can plate already-detached parts
