Possible... I hv a similar QR plate as what you show.. But some models may require an thread adapter.. easy enough to get from most major camera suppliers.. and cheap.. I think it is 3/8 to 1/4 inch step down.

IT will add bulk and weight to the system and may defeat its compact size.. Do consider that ..

hi! i wish to get a polarizer lens. Many on website recommend hoya. Its very pricey and I seldom use. So I want to get some cheap one.. is it worth it to get a cheap one?

try some china brands or 2nd hand ones first, if you really like the effect and you do need something higher quality, then buy hoya or whatever

Do you have any quality ones as comparison? like from photo shooting group or friends etc.
if not, it's difficult to gauge the quality of the filter based solely on your experience since you don't have anything to compare
some china ones are ok but qc is questionable..

Hi,
Newbie here,
hope this is the right place to ask.

I have a Lumix DMC GF7.
from the advertisement video, it suppose to be good in self portrait.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7Its1OnGKI

but i think so far the self portrait shot is not satisfied, if compare to if taken by a person (which make sense).
But could be even worse compare to self portrait taken by phone.

Most of the picture are over exposed (too white at the background), not nicely focus (background too blur).
So i just want to know, is it my setting problem?

try this, zoom out to the widest, such as 24mm or 28mm
dial to auto mode, use timer
now one more shot but this time use force flash and timer
how's the result?

Thanks for the suggestion.
I will try it out.
Ok if i post some image here? Or i move it to some other sub topic.

I am not really a selfie person and didnt expect to use it for so much selfie when buying this mirrorless.
But just went Europe travelling recently. So a bit frustrated with those not statisfied pictures. It has not much problem focusing on the "person face".. But the background is just... Not statisfied.

Anyway i will play around with it more and see. Tq.

I was trying to be sarcastic but I guess that failed. You need to tell a bit more like r u using auto setting, beauty mode or whatnot and some sample pic? Us ordinary folks can't read your mind u know.

that's the cheapest way to make sure the equipment are dry, no harm doing it but it may not be sufficient if the space is too big
but as you know, proper dry box can be set to certain dryness to prevent fungus growing and rubber cracking (in case of overly dry)

Hi, guys. I'm not exactly familiar with Kuala Lumpur despite knowing it as the capital of Malaysia. That said, do you know where I can take some scenic pictures (streets, architectures, historic places, people, etc) of the city? It'd be best if it's accessible by LRT/Monorail.

Thanks for your suggestions! icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi, for night show, how do you guys focus on both the people and the background which has some light objects? If you focus on the person, the background will not be clear. If focus on background object, the person will not be clear.

usually, the camera tends to open up the lens aperture as much as it can to maximize the light capture at night, this will make the depth of field smaller, hence you cannot focus BOTH the front and the background in sharp focus

you can try set the appropriate aperture value to be able to capture both but the ISO will increase and the shutter speed will decrease
ISO raised means poorer picture quality, lower shutter speed means easily blurred pictures

if your camera cannot get you a satisfactory picture, try shooting the scene using black and white while bump up the ISO to very high, this way, you may get sharp pictures and can focus both front and background, happy testing
