Last couple of month I contacted Ford 3S service centre under Persada Auto( Puchong) for my car servicing and was upset because they did not provide car servicing anymore. Just heard my friend said centre as mentioned has closed down recently. Anyone of you know are they relocating or close down permanently in Puchong area? I heard even Hyundai has closed down one or two service centre in Petaling Jaya...... I do not know what the hell is going on but I think must be something to do with poor sales and poor after sales service support. Now I need to travel to Ford located at PJ federal highway for my next servicing. |

QUOTE(Ginny88 @ Aug 29 2016, 02:17 PM) Ford only sold 66 passenger vehicles in July. It usually outsells VW and Peugeot but not this time. Maybe the launch of Honda Civic X has hit the Focus hard. Pricing the Focus sedan at RM140K was a bit over the top. Thanks guys!Yes.. current Honda civic is a breakthrough in terms of design and c/w 1.5 turbo engine. Surprisingly Subaru sales also looks promising... |

QUOTE(-ahtiang- @ Sep 7 2016, 07:53 AM) You know what's worse now? With the closure of Puchong Persada Auto Ford Services Centre and Sunway one as well, the PJ1 (HQ) and PJ2 (Opposite HQ) have to bear the entire Puchong and Sunway Ford owners for services as well. I called both PJ outlet and their earliest appointment for PJ1 is October 11th and PJ2 is Sept 30th. Then I tried next Damansara one also earliest Sept 27th. Persada Auto Ford service centre at Puchong Kinrara has changed to Mazda showroom. I contacted them last month for my fofo service. Absolutely insane and going downhill. What the heck at they thinking really. Yeab... I think Ford Ranger and Fiesta are selling ok only, rest of the model are lying at dealer car yard. I hardly see any fofo facelift model on the road. Definitely sales hit hard by macho looking Civic at this segment. My ford focus tail lamp was hit by motorist early this year and SDAC required almost 2 and half months for stock arrival This post has been edited by Ken77: Sep 7 2016, 11:07 AM |

QUOTE(-ahtiang- @ Sep 8 2016, 07:12 AM) Yup, I saw lots of Persada Auto for FORD has been closed down. Shah Alam branch also closed down already. I still remember during my high school in the 90's , Ford was quite popular with their Ford Lynx and Ford 1.8 laser TX3 . After that, Ford disappear from market some time and launched their models few years back. |

QUOTE(syamil05 @ Sep 22 2016, 07:49 AM) Hi..im having a prblem with my focus. Warning alert a like 'steering assist malfunctioned. Service required' appear. When this happen, the steering like lock. I have refer this issue at auto conexiin jln ipoh. They told me that my steering rack need to be replaced an it will cost me around rm10.5k. I wonder if there any focus user out there encountered the same problem? I think it should be under 5 years warranty. Correct me if I'm wrong!Suggest you check with their manager because I have encountered experience the customer service officer do not know what the heck is going on. For instance, there is one customer service officer from SDAC PJ told me Ford Focus c/w 3 years warranty only. He did not believed me till I showed him the letter of 5 years / 180K mileage or whichever come first. If the manager show " Tak apa" attitude, go to the manager boss till get things right. That's what I do ! |

QUOTE(-ahtiang- @ Oct 3 2016, 07:39 AM) That's interesting, as I did go and have a look on Ford Malaysia website and found no information on the warranty period of the All New Focus (3.5) and unlike the previous Focus which they printed the 3+2 and Extended Warranty as big as they can... strange.. even the brochure of the All New Focus also not mentioned on the warranty... Do you guys know much it cost to change battery outside for Fofo year 2014 model?I then found their official Warranty page at Ford Warranty and the statement "All new Ford vehicles come with a standard 3 years or 100,000 km (whichever comes first) manufacturer's warranty." and also these section; Ford Warranty also covers battery for the first 3 years /60,000km whichever comes first. Ford Warranty excludes: - Wear and tear items (e.g. brake pad, clutch and wiper blades) - Misuse/Negligence - Incidental and consequential damages - Act of God (earthquakes, floods), fires and other disasters - Modifications of the vehicle or any components and parts - Tyres. (Tyres are covered under the respective tyre manufacturer’s warranty) This post has been edited by Ken77: Oct 6 2016, 09:10 PM |

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Oct 9 2016, 10:03 PM) As far as I know the Ford Focus uses a "special battery". Normal batteries used for other cars cannot be used on the Ford. Not sure which shop outside of Ford service centre that sells this battery. From what I gather, the Ford Focus battery costs about RM400 outside. At the service centre, it is RM800 or 900 if I am not mistaken. Thanks.. appreciate it! |

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Oct 10 2016, 05:53 PM) You can ask them why the steering rack malfunction, because I don't think it is normal for a steering rack for cars to malfunction. Perhaps it is more on a design fault that the steering rack fails so quickly, and for this design fault the car manufacturer is passing down the cost of repair to the owner. Yeab.. agree with you! Should check and ask in detail with higher management . There was one time I complaint and emailed all the way to the director of SDAC in order to get my things done..... It's just like the clutch thing where it is related to the design and Ford or Sime Darby has given the 10-year warranty. If the poor durability of the steering rack can be associated with the clutch, then they should give the warranty cover as well. I think you need to go up to higher management. In my experience the working level at Sime Darby PJ is pretty useless and powerless for issues such as these. Some of them do not know what the fcuk is going on, perhaps high staff turnover??... QUOTE(gtiwtks @ Nov 9 2016, 10:18 AM) LOL.... I am not trying to scare potential buyers... .... Just sharing some info i know.... I haven't paid a single cent yet as all the parts i claimed are still under 3 years warranty. But for the parts that i have claim - steering rack, brake pads, clutch assy, tcm, engine mounting and etc... there are amount on the claim invoice.... The rest of the price are shared by mk3 fb group. May I know what's your mileage like? Mine is 100K mileage but so far claimed battery, steering rack and clutch only. Is true you can get a 300++ battery but later when anything happen to your tcm.... the sc will keep on cari pasal on the battery and force your to change your battery before changing the tcm or something. A lot of people kena already... Your brake pads and engine mounting wear off so fast? How about your air Cond? Yesterday , I just changed engine flywheel seal because oil leakage. It cost me RM 600++ for parts and labour. My Fofo is now 3 years 6 months old. This post has been edited by Ken77: Nov 9 2016, 10:42 AM |

QUOTE(gtiwtks @ Nov 9 2016, 02:07 PM) My mileage is around 53K. 1 month younger than yours. Brake pads can claim once under 60K/3 years. Nvr claim then rugi. Not easy to claim also because the brake pad have to be less than 3-4 mm. Manage to claim the front only. Mine car everyday jam LDP sure brake pads wear off fast. Thanks for sharing.Engine mounting is design flaw i think. Our car only have 2 engine mounting, one on the top and one bottom. If the top one crack, then your car can fell light vibration during idle. Less than one year, the light vibration came back again. |

QUOTE(-ahtiang- @ Nov 16 2016, 11:44 AM) OK, update seems like PJ1 Service Advisor (SA) is now working similar style with PJ2 as the SA will have this color Car Report Card (checklist) and inspect the car prior sending it into the workshop. How much is it? Is it still under warranty? Sending my car in today for the engine idle vibration issue. Engine mounting now confirmed need to be changed but stocks only arrived on Thursday and I need to send my car back on Friday lol Mine has mild vibration. |

QUOTE(wingwp @ Dec 6 2016, 07:29 PM) Bro , why you said that?I have been driving Ford Focus for 3 and half years since year 2013( current car mileage less than 90K ). My fuc@king clutch changed 3 times , there is one time I left my car for 2 weeks plus at workshop because their software unable to calibrate the gear and the whole damn car unable to start because clutch failure. After sales service from Sime Darby Auto connection in PJ is the WORST among the car service centre I have experienced. Immediately contacted customer service and seek more support to fasten the process, all they know is to ask you to wait for 2 fuc@king days. After loosing my patient , I complaint all the way by email to their MD at Sime Darby Auto connection to push their ass from office There is one time my tail lamp was hit by motorist , just a tail lamp from SDAC need to wait for 2 months to order from Thailand. Luckily mine is just a tail lamp, I really pity those car in SDAC workshop which required few months for parts to arrive because the whole damn car unable to roll. Ford is a fantastic car to drive, there is absolutely no doubt about it! We understand 'Mat Salleh" car normally does create some problems due to Malaysia climate, that is ok! But what if the service centre is a total screw up?? Is it worth to own this car by going through such traumatic process ? There are few service centre in Puchong and Shah Alam have been closed down this year if not mistaken. Like one of our brother mentioned in previous post, unless you are driving this car as third or fourth cars onwards. If not, please think twice if you use it as your first car. Just like friends ask me about this car, I say a BIG no to own this car ........... unless you like to drive a fast and performance car which I doubt in KL traffic. |
