ok uploaded it. let me know if u guys need to know any other details. new info. when I click preview video, the video plays but I dun know where is the file location in my HDD...
*
hmm... hmm.gif
is it on the temporary folder in windows??
try stop that upload task, and hash check it...

i also dunno how to solve this problem actually
but i think it is becoz the BitComet version that you used... becoz when BitComet v0.70 released, Windows Vista still didnt have beta yet (correct me if im wrong)
try the BitComet v0.81 or later version
then hash check that task again

The newer version 0.86 onwards, eat a lot of upload speed, this may totally affected ur download rate.

I've tried older version it can run up at 100KB/s but unstable.
Tuotu is only 70-80KB/s max.
*
you cant limit your upload?? unsure.gif

Which Bitcomet version should be the best to download since TM had throttled our BT connection.

Start from 0.70 till 0.89, u all recommend which version?

Without VPN, Proxy involved.

For myself, I've tested V0.84 is the best of all. Average speed at 60-80kb/s
*
i also vote for v0.84 nod.gif

btw, i just test from v0.71 till v0.84 only
the version that later than v0.84 didnt even try before...

yup i've already made an exception.
*
so, you have portforward and add exception in firewall...
i think it is becoz the BitComet problem only
how is the speed??
is it fast?? (juz asking for the task that have many peer...)
if the speed is ok (or fast), then it should be no problem again

try close it and open it again
maybe this time it will show green light

nope the green light is not showing... and i think the more changes i make, the slower my bitcomet speed is getting. now it is not moving at all. the peers are only 1 or 2. how can i reset it back to default?  @@;;;
*
how many minute you have run that task?? only got 1 or 2 peer??

since that you have portforward and add exception in firewall
i think there is nothing more to do...

lets wait for scorps to answer your question

no,my speed with all remote peer still can go to 40-50kb/s,i just wonder if i can connect to local peer will my speed will go up?
*
i think there will be no changes
especially if you register for 512k... since that your speed is aledi on limit
QUOTE(ericjeff @ Jun 7 2007, 08:09 PM)

nothing particular..cuz i heard from my friend said the download speed also depend on which port u listen to...
*
you can use any 5 digit no. of port that not been used by other program
for sure, dun even use 12345
other is ok

and the port no. didnt affect the speed much

Have you 'Always' enable the Protocol Encryption? If select Auto Detect any effect?
*
i set as 'Always'
so that the data that send out will be always encrypted
sometimes it will detect that we didnt need encryption... thats why i set it as 'Always'...

how is the speed if we set as 'Disabled'??

QUOTE(hyperx @ Jun 15 2007, 02:32 PM)
hey im using v.89, it seems that my torrents arent exactly connected to the peers which i dont know why... the seeders and leechers are many but im not connected to them..

one more thing is that my torrent speed is unstable.. sometimes it may goes up to 90kbps or down to 10kbps.. but normally it stayed around 30kbps

so im just wondering is this is my streamyx problem or bitcomet problem because before this im using another version (which i cant remembered, but that one seems to be ok).. after i changed to 0.89, i suffer quite a slow speed.. at first i thought it was due to the torrent files i downloaded, but now i think its due to other problem...

hmm anyone?
*
looks like v0.89 really have many problem
juz look at the Invince_Z post above in this page
he also said that v0.89 got many problem
try v0.84 or v0.87
other version... better dun try

you didnt need to change it to .bc! extension
even with no extension (i mean for .fb! or .bc! but not something like .avi .mpg etc...)
you still can continue the task

change wengjoe BitComet version to BitComet v0.86

Hi, just found this thread.

Personally I just use BC v0.70, didn't see the need to upgrade since every version has some bugs / not very stable.

It seems there isn't one version that is stable enough. Unless there's one that is as stable as v0.70, I'm not changing.
*
i recommend you v0.84 icon_rolleyes.gif

dislike v0.70 and version before v0.70, becoz of it connect speed is very slow
what i mean is the speed to connect to peer
take a few minute then only start to download, unlike other v0.7x or v0.8x which can start to download within a few second
connect to peer faster

therefore, i advise you to upgrade

if the settings you mean is not like what diablo69
then go to the BitComet installed directory
at the BitComet.xml file, make sure it is not "Read-Only"

QUOTE(tsubasa @ Jun 26 2007, 05:10 PM)
it's it normal to get Local,Remote and Nat Traversal peers???

because my speed can't reach above 20kB/s,and fluctuating alot.
it will go up high then drop back down to <20kB/s
*
it is juz normal if you got Local and Remote initiation only
if got NAT Traversal and Local without Remote, please do port forward or allow connection in firewall
if all 3 also have, then please go to Preferences > Advanced > Connection > Use NAT Traversal via UDP, disabled it
