if i portforward the port inside the router and uncheck the enable upnp and nat/firewall option in the bitcomet, is it the the small icon on the right bottom there will become yellow? i notice that if i enable upnp and nat/firewall, then it will become green. but then, i remember someone from here told me that if i open port inside router, then i no need enable the option d...

but if like this, it shown the port is blocked? or I no need bother it is green or yellow?

Hi All,

I was using bitcomet version 0.93 previously. But this version end up to be 100% CPU usage if I'm downloading torrent tasks more than 3 (sometimes 5) simultaneously. So I update the version to 0.96 but the problem still persists.

But if I stop all the tasks from downloading, the CPU usage get back to normal of 5 to 10%.

The only solution I found is to download the most 2 or 3 torrent tasks.

What can I do ? I know a continuously 100% CPU usage is bad for my CPU.
Is it the problem of Bitcomet itself or the problem of my own computer.

Anyone faces this problem?

just now i try to use brigde mode,direct connect to the modem, the BC 0.66 mod version can run back normal already. but once I connect back to the router, it cant run at all. but myself pc connect to the router can run w/o any problem. why?

btw, the e donkey plug in port must same as the udp/tcp port?

Possible Solution #1:

Click Options > Preferences > Advanced > Connection and change "Maximum Connections per task" & "Connections to keep per task" to 1, then resume the torrent.

How this works... To keep the speed up right to the end of the torrent, once requests for all the required pieces are pending, BitTorrent requests them all from everyone that it's downloading from. It then sends cancel requests to everyone else each time one of the pieces arrives. So by lowering the connected peers to 1 it may stop the piece coming in from several peers at the same time and getting mangled by the router and/or BitTorrent/BitComet.

Possible Solution #2:

Select the torrent task in BitComet then click the Files section (bottom left in the main window). If it contains any of the following file types, right click them and select Priority > Disabled:
desktop.ini
thumbs.db

Next right click the torrent task and select Manual Hash Check - this will check the data for errors. Then resume your download and hopefully it will finish.

This may fix it because these files are hidden system files that are specific to each system, so if somebody mistakenly included them in the torrent there will be a constant file overwriting battle between BitComet and windows.

Possible Solution #3:

Make sure the following is disabled in your router:
DMZ Mode (where all packets are forwarded a single machine by default)
Game Mode (very few routers support this function, so you probably won't be able to find this option)

If DMZ was configured and has now been disabled, you'll need to set up static port forwarding (instructions here).

Possible Solution #4:

Disable/bypass your routers NAT and connect directly to the internet - so you can download the last piece of data without your NAT messing it up. Consult your routers user guide on how to do this.

Still hasn't fixed it? It may be time to buy a new router.

Btw, if your download speed is bad.. Try to get IP like 60.54.xx.xx .. Then stop the download.. Start again.. Everytime my download drop till 20kb/s.. I stop it and start again.. Will shoot back to 100+ kb/s but it all depend on seeders..

Erm.. Let say my download now 180kb/s .. Then after several hours.. Maybe I surf net or download other stuff.. It will slowly decrease to 50kb/s.. I stop it.. Then start again.. Will get back 150kb/s ~ 180kb/s.. It works for me though..
what's the matter? 
Btw, I am damn frustrated with this 0.97 .. Previously I use 0.94 no problem.. This 0.97 give me problem when i leave it for a night.. My download at 180kb/s suppose to get 50% + today but only at 2.8% coz the damn error..

did anyone use tweak bitcomet 0.64??

Well, many people PM'ed me asking how to boost bitcomet download speed.
I will share my settings and if it doesn't work. Please don't blame me.

Streamyx 1mbps package good/max download speed is 80~100kBps on Bitcomet ( Based on my experience ). After my settings, I get something like this :-

For the TCP Limit... It cannot be done using new version of Bitcomet if not mistaken..

I reset my modem yesterday and tried downloading.. Getting 80kBps only.. After I set back the NAT and IP Filter security to low... My speed shoot back to 194kBps.. So, it must be one of 'em ..

Just sharing.. Correct me if I am wrong.. 

I will try to remove the NAT & IP Filter thingy in my modem setting and try again when I'm free.. See if it makes any different.. Now I want download many things.. I don't want do that first..
