Same here. Big file but not Kit Kat. Its 10c.

Good, at least there's hope that Modellabs phones will get official update soon.

It seems that LG was unaware of phones from HK with AMAL suffix, hence no updates for us till now.

Seems like KK for Flex is out & cones with Knock Code! Lucky them. I can see some hope that there will be updates for us as well for this.

Better to use the phone as a phone. Use it as you wish. Battery will degrade over time whether you use it carefully or not. Also, sure you guys will change to a new phone in a year or so.

I feel a bit dissapointed for rushing the KK update. Should've waited until a proper root & recovery method was found.

Still unable to downgrade..haizzz..

why? using offline method kdz downgrade still fail?

Follow this guide bro. should be able to restore back to JB rom, root it back then install kitkat custom rom

Anyway Cloudyfa already release CloudyStock 1.3, based on G2 stock kitkat rom. Gonna try it out today  rclxm9.gif

I tried this & another back to stock method (which I initially used to flash KK) but doesn't work. There are others with same problem too at XDA.

Pitiful la that G2 doesn't interest many people, if not sure there's already an easier way to upgrade/downgrade. See Samsung phones, even noobs can do it while blindfolded.

Never tested it yet. The LTE covered places are quite limited.

lazy to update unless got custom recovery.

There's a long way to install custom recovery, try searching in XDA Forum. Might worth to wait though. Enjoy rooting in the mean time rclxm9.gif

A question to those updated via kdz. The status in download mode is rooted, even though you did not root.

For those who received OTA, can you confirm whether you have the same problem?

Finally updated to KK. Knock On feels more responsive, feels smoother in overall UI, camera focus might be just "slightly" faster but it's still slow compared to other phones like the S4 or Z1.
*
The camera focusing needs another software update. KK update is more to bring our phones up to date with KK improvements.

I was a 1Gadget yesterday to buy casing & overheard the counter guy saying KK update brought problem for quite a few ppl. Their G2 got stuck at boot logo after restart.

LoL they must have tried to take KK ota while having custom recovery.
*
Not sure bout that but the 1G guy said quite a few cust came in for repair already. Hopefully LG do justice and release any patch for these poor souls. biggrin.gif

Another thing mentioned by the guy, not sure if it's true or not, if you got bootloop in KK, most probably you can't solve it on own & has to be sent to LG SC.

Just wanna ask, how long does the battery usually last?A proud owner of the red lg g2 intl set, bought from 1g ytd.
*
Congrats on your purchase!

The battery stamina depends on usage. Also, over time you will notice that the SOT will decrease ( I still can't achieve the 7hours I had on the 1st day I bought the G2 consistently).

Other than that, this phone can last at least 2 days on average usage (means mix of net surfing+calling+texting etc). Just don't be bothered with that, it will come naturally to you that you no longer need to carry that heavy power bank (if you do carry one tongue.gif )

p/s: seriously, it get's frustrating some time just to get the battery emptied to do a fresh battery cycle.

my bro bought a G2 few days ago at 1gadget with D80210b-466-92 which is a Taiwan firmware after some googling .. 500MB kit kat OTA when searched while mine 10d HKG firmware still no OTA kit kat...
*
If your phone's suffix is AMALBK or AMALWH, then there's no OTA at the moment to KK. You can use PC Suite to get it if you absolutely need it.

hi Guys,

Im interested to buy this phone... i got one question.. What is the different LG G2 unlocked with the normal Lg G2?
*
There are no locked LG G2 for D802 version. Only those that are carrier branded in US are typically locked (i.e you cannot use it with sim card from other carriers)

All variants of G2 are the same except for Verizon one as the back button on those are a bit smaller and has an additional noice cancelling mic.
