Few frens of mine has these code :AMALBK no update at all since they brought since 3 months ago. Even one of them flashed manually the Malaysia KDZ file (D80210d-MYS-XX), did not got any update as it shows "The device software has latest software" when he runs OTA. This was yesterday night when i met him.

the msia version or the hongkong version should i flash?

I think mine was the HKG version like you said, which actually prompted me to update via OTA. However, as my phone was rooted and me being a learning-in-progress chap, I attempted to re-root but using a MY KDZ I downloaded - which I thought was ok. I'm now unable to receive the OTA anymore hence i'm stuck with 4.2.2. 
Bro, I'm going to attempt flashing my phone again but this time using a Kit Kat KDZ, which KDZ exactly are you using? From what I see from the site only have Austria, Italy, Spain and France wor 

So far...my KK pros and cons :

PROS :
1. Less lag , faster phone

CONS :
1. Fatter physical folder size , icons are further apart
2. Can't check-in into foursqure without enable GPS (Location) , which is I personally think its WORSE (one time my phone thinks im at indonesia which my phone never went to , most of the time my phone dont know where I am at all) than using wifi only during JB .
3. Same as number 2 , I now have to enable GPS ALL THE TIME for the sake of finding my phone if I lost it using prey , antivirus etc
4. THE LOUD STATIC NOISE !  when plugging earphone , this seriously f-up my phone .
5. Much much fatter widget ? cmon ! ugly gila
6. is it me or the battery life is noticeably worse than during JB ?

already did a factory reset , but after that it still remains KK . i am dissapointed

D80210B_00.kdz is KK or JB? how to know it? anyone got the specific steps to do the flashing?

the step provided by bro rai_fuzz is not going to lose your data. its just like u are doing the OTA. dont worry.
But.....to be on the safe side, always backup your data...peace....

so the KK doesnt have significant changes, notice there are printing setting there. other that, not much.
battery wise, it seems to me just like when im running on JB...
but yes i notice the wording seems to be bigger a bit...but im ok with that...

Finally flashed to KK and I definitely feel the fluidity. Niceeee! This was something that the G2 needed. In terms of battery life, will have to see how  this fares out

just curious, do you guys use any battery optimization app? What are they and are they effective?

this morning my G2 battery was totally flat. so i recharge when i reach office and i found out that my time was reset to default time/factory time. is it something wrong with my hardware, or battery?or it is normal? coz this scenario like unplug then plug back the battery.

Because when i watch movies on otg, i only get 3 - 5 SOT only
