I can't answer you that as I already fixed it. I think stock can playback, but heard third party player cannot.

Have u tried removing your card see if it helps? Sounds like a problem with media scanner or memory card corruption

Ps: its completely BS that memory card cant even work with an "official" kit kat rom.

I'm not sure others, but mine works fine..
Even the apps tat install on sd card previously still able launch..
Music check, pic check, only thing haven't do is try to transfer apps to sd card..

1 new thing, the pen window now have an option to drag in n out. I cannot drag in apps but I can drag it out..Any1 tried before?

Hi @Andrewtst, what do you mean original Samsung chipset? do i need to get a ori S view cover, and take off the chipset and replace it on the Slim Armor View Case?

I am playing all my songs flawlessly with Neutron player. All my lossless and mp3 all stored in SD card

i cannot see them extSdCard stuff in es explorer too but then again, its working fine playing music via stock palyer

Previous install apps will work. But when you try to do following will fail.

- Titanium backup to SD Card will show fail.
- Multiple select photos for deletion at QuickPic also fail.
- Copy/Move data using third party browser, example Root Explorer.

Yes, all chipset use by third party not from Samsung will malfunction once your phone at KitKat.

I change my statement on KitKat SDcard issue.

Flashing kitkat now will make the external SD almost useless. You will not be able write in certain process, example moving/copying data via third party explorer, multiple photos select for deletion at QuickPic, backup using Titanium Backup. No issue save camera photos on it or playback games in SD card.

Due to the changes in Kitkat and most probably knox container, many previous methods not 100% functioning. Many reported that EFS could backup fine but unable to restore.
