Thanks Andrew for the test. Did you try with X BLAST and see if it can replace wanam

Hmm, seems like I will hold my horse first and decide later if I should flash this kitkat. Too many things to give up.

Not possible to downgrade back to 4.3 after flashing kitkat rite?
*
Yes, you can't return to 4.3 based rom due to newer bootloader

I don't think it is possible, If use old bootloader cannot boot. Mix old and new bootloader like me and soloilmeglio total brick.

At least now i know how to brick my phone . tongue.gif
*
Solo decided to send his device to service center. Seems like it will be a long wait before X-Note 8.0 is released

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Jan 15 2014, 08:30 AM)
Notice on KittyKat my ram usage is higher than X-Note v7.  sad.gif
No idea why?  rclxub.gif Battery still too premature to determine.
*
Really? I thought everyone is saying there is less consumption on RAM hmm.gif

Maybe you got too many things running in background. Kitkat frees up more ram from the system but eventually it will still be used up if you keep to many things running theoretically. tongue.gif
Yeah i also will be sending mine in today. Thanks to Andrewtst for extracting for me some bootloader files but like solo it still did not work.
*
Wonder how much SC will be charging? So far I still haven't seen any vast improvement in 4.4

If changing from Poland official firmware to malaysia official firmware, will it trip the knox?
*
No, it won't trip knox.

KNOX will ONLY be tripped if
1. Flash custom recovery
2. Root for firmware higher than MJ3

Flashing stock official firmware via PC ODIN won't trip knox

No need..mine okay without bootloader ticked.
All come under one file..bootloader included edi.

For the leaked firmware..yes..need to flash bootloader separately as it comes with 4 files..BL..AP..CP and CSC
*
I think what Andrew mean is the "Phone Bootloader Update" not "BL" above AP

App that can backup EFS partition
Sadly nobody confirm can restore or not  sweat.gif
*
Due to the changes in Kitkat and most probably knox container, many previous methods not 100% functioning. Many reported that EFS could backup fine but unable to restore.

So far Sweet ROM is the only custom 4.4 TW based ROM.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2487425

But I don't think that ROM is sweet enough tongue.gif

can flash kernels ka
*
Not sure if custom 4.3 kernel works with 4.4 or not. So far no custom 4.4 kernel as Samsung haven't release any source code yet

Or you may try out AOSP rom. ProBam seems very popular

As I just noticed the thread is rated as average 3 stars it seems it is not appreciated by the users. Meaning for me that is just a waist of time for me to post my personal stuff here. From now on I keep it just for me.
Thread closed by me.

Same here, so far what I can see kitkat doesn't bring much improvement compared to custom 4.3 rom

Then jialak liao. Don't know how to revert back. Hv to google more.
Do you mind to upload the feature.xml under system\csc?
*
Don't panic. I always lost my spacebar swipe function when I play with custom kernel. There will have one additional button. Refer to my screenshot.

I hate synapse, it is not stable!

Last version from CivZ also can tweak CPU. tongue.gif
*
Agree, I still prefer to use Trickster to tweak the CPU. Synapse will reset all the setting to default randomly when you reboot your device too frequent

You can disable mdnie control and use stock right?
Yes its a known issue. You should read more.
*
Even if you disable the mdnie, the black color is still not a solid black, you will still see gradient in setting or any dark interface.

But once I flash to Yank's kernel, all the dark interface is a solid black.
