I've got mix opinion about knn air filter. Some says it's good while others says otherwise. I'm particularly curious about knn's claim more air flow compared to oem paper filter. Logically more air means more dirt, particles,  and other stuff goes with it right? Well, just my personal opinion. For the time being I'll stick to oem. Besides, it's still new. Cheers xvians. smile.gif

I'm using k&n filter for my old car, it serving me very well. frankly speaking, I'm haven't cleaning the filter for about 15k cause I'm saw it still clean as mostly city drive. But compare to my friend k&n filter which he always drive his 4wd drive to plantation area, the air filter full of dirt and need to clean up more often.

yesterday afternoon was driving at the highway, raining heavily, then suddenly my car slip a bit and i noticed the "slippery" light blink for awhile. and i saw my speed meter actually going to 120km/h, then my wife asked me to slow down.. all i can said the XV are really stable, the AWD like helped to control the wheel back on straight.

Yeah, I felt that too! Sometimes with metal clacking sound! But I was assured by the SC that was normal for boxer engine. Even Porsche also have that, but drown by the exhaust sound.
*
i heard that too.. i guess is normal.

is it expensive to repair/replace the AWD?

just sharing...
i've been trying a fuel additives KM+ for almost 2 weeks (rm9 good for 80litres of fuel)
and surprisingly, with the same driving style, im getting 7.4l/100km mix urban driving and a pretty awesome engine response/power ...
previously, i usually get 8.8-9l/100km...

u guys might want to try it urself... (eneos 1U)
i usually pour 1 bottle per full tank of 50+ litres..
it says, use more for power, or accordingly for fuel saving.. smile.gif

KM+ BiosurgeAsia
*
means that your mileage can go up to 650km+ per full tank? shocking.gif

can some tell me how subaru BRZ has this figure?

PERFORMANCE
Max. output kW(PS)/rpm
147 kW (200 PS) / 7,000 rpm
Max. torque Nm(kgfm)/rpm
205 Nm (20.9 kgfm) / 6,400 - 6,600 rpm

its using the same engine as XV right??
*
no, different engine.. BRZ using FA, XV using FB
the FA engine is an award winning engine, as is N/A engine that can produce 100hp per 1000cc

ohh.. i thought it was the same engine...
maybe 7-9 years down the road., can try and find a half cut of brz.. then put the engine in my xv..eheh.. just a thought..
*
FA engine is performance type = suck petrol
FB engine is more on economical.

AE can modify it for you.. hahaha
Cause that day i asked him, what kind of performance kits available for XV, then he said KNN.. shaft, pistons etc, he said do it after 5 years.. LOL

*Not just half cut BRZ, the toyota 86 using the same engine. the only different for both car just the logo only.

it all comes down to "interested party".  Our service does not include tyres, so the SC ppl won't give a damn look coz they won't make any money from it.  But if you happen to visit a tyre shop because of a punctured tyre etc., for sure they will inspect all the tyres for you enthusiastically and tell you happily that your tyres need to be replaced.  laugh.gif

btw, bro hypercrazyd, how much you bought those bean bags?  Looking for 2 too for my kids new room.  thumbup.gif
*
RM300 for 2 (big one)
RM200 for 2 (small one)

i get the big one.. you cant bring your kids to get the bean bag.. hahahah
the boot cant fit in, the passenger seat only can fit in 1..
have to flip down the passenger seat then just ngam ngam can fit in both.

They recommend for first time usage, 2oz per 1 litre of engine oil.

I usually start up the car and warm up for a few minutes, then turn off. Then I will wait for a few minutes, open up the oil filler cap and pour the whole bottle in. It takes quite a while to finish, as the remnants take quite a while to finish dripping in.

After that, I will close back the cap and start up engine and rev for about a minute or 2. On and off la, not non-stop. Then I will take it out for a drive.

But it will take about 25 to 50km to really get distributed properly and feel the smoothness kicking in.

And I like to add 1oz per 1litre of engine oil after every service. This is optional. Sometimes I forget then it will be every alternate service.

But if you FLUSH our engine during service, then you will loose most of the smoothness and have to redo.
*
oh, not every 10k service, then add in 1 bottle? 1oz enough?

If you are willing to add 1 bottle every 10k service, then sure good la.

Actually, you can start with 1 bottle, which I think brings you up to around 1.5oz/litre of oil. Definitely enough to feel the difference. Just that I followed the recommendations on the sticker for initial addition.

oh naisee.... im ready to feel the diff..
Pivot - checked
Tufoil - checked
knn filter - tomorrow arrive.
