Hmm, just for sharing. I sent my car last Monday for 10k servicing plus complain on the tuk tuk sound after engine mounting replaced. They instructed their technicians to check on the lower arm.  They said they ordered new lower arm for replacement,  but at the mean time they applied something to it.

It has been about 9 days and the sound seems to disappear till now. This may be a workaround but from what I've experienced in the other sc, they applied something as well but that lasted only up to 2 days.

Go to Puchong SC. They fixed my tuk tuk sound many months back and now still no sound..touch wood biggrin.gif

guys,

got a G Spec HU to sell... coz i'm changing it to a BT HU, which i will use back the J spec stock frame.

Therefore, this G Spec HU will come with the Frame as well.

selling it for RM350. Do pm me if anyone is interested.

thanks!
*
What BT HU u changing? smile.gif

I'm still skeptical if I should change to Pioneer HU cause the side fillers that is used to fill the left and right empty holes next to the HU kinda made me think it is ugly on my car... and i felt it does not blend into the car. Sadly there is no Pioneer HU which is designed for toyota cars.

im not really into aesthetic... but the audio output quality~ laugh.gif

im really wondering if the output quality would improve upon changing.

btw, do you guys driving E and above, there's squeaking noise from the player console.. right above the CD slot, upon crossing un-even road?
*
No sound from player . Surprisingly the current sound system from G model is good enuf for me biggrin.gif . Booming all the way especially when used with spotify premium. Clear and crisp. Now I don feel like hearing to radio songs anymore...

my vios was about 270km / RM50 , f***ing damn high !

does the result would be better after my first service ?
*
My 3rd gen gives 240km with rm40@ron95 2.10 . 80% for normal drive 20% - 50% sometimes for traffic jam . I always sudden step at green light, go 100-110km/h whenener no jam but drives with efficient braking and no tail gating.
2% of time 130-140km/h. Nv gone over it.

*
There's one time I went service later a month since I thought my mileage is still low like you. No issues. Toyota didn't even ask why.

beside these issues. I would like know would it ruin our vehicle performance ?
*
Don't think so as long as you maintain your car in a good way. Eg. Check your car oil.
When you do service at Toyota, they will help you check your car according a list.
You may do the same as them or probably just the things you can do by yourself before you go to thier service.

At certain moment when labor is no longer free from Toyota, some people may even skip their given toyota's service schedule.
Some people maybe afraid that warranty validity but those who doesn't may go out find outsiders to service their car.

Hi aroma,

Yup, the ECO mode lighting is just an indicator. If there's lighting, it means you're on Eco Mode.

To turn it off/on, refer to the following link:

Toyota Tribe

I got to know about this about 2 weeks ago and I'm still monitoring. But in brief, here's my finding:

With Eco mode:
- avg: 11.52km/l

Without Eco mode:
- avg: 13.7km/l

Mostly city driving, about 90%
*
so the light is for our eyes only. which means if the driver ignore the light, no matter the eco light is on or off, the consumption will still be the same. blink.gif

answer is given here:

Yup, I had same issue for awhile , now no more such smell. Probably because of our country's hot & rainy weather.

Guys I just sent my car for service now. I told him my car doors does not have the 3step door thing, whenever I park at slope, the door sure slide wide open.

The guy said that issue cannot be fixed in any way cause the door mount is designed that way and cannot be changed.

Anyone met the same door opening wide issue and any idea it can actually be fixed?

Apparently the new features seems to f*** us old owners up. Same price + better specs.

Having the push start button was a luxury then. But now, even the J spec has it. Wonder why I bought the TRD variant now.

All in all, with the same / slightly increased price, not sure if it's worth it.

And the knocking sound? Anyone still have it?
*
Other than push start, actually another main reason I got G spec is because of the nice looking Projector headlamps tongue.gif

Didn't expect vios to beat city in 2014 sales. Probably because Honda missed out January sales since can book in February
