Anyone knows how to fix the door swinging issue?

my passenger and driver's door 3 step mechanism doesn't seem to work properly even when I parked my car on a flat road. It is worse when parked on a slope.. When I open the door, it will just swing wide open. Theres even once my door almost hit other people.

Im using G 2014

Hi all,

Planing to get a Vios 2015 soon. Can't decide whether to choose E or G spec.

G
- Comes with security tint (rm1900) by Toyota. No need waste time survey tint price outside.
- Leather seats (actually I don't know this is advantage or not, is leather more high maintenance? And hotter during afternoon. Lol.) sweat.gif
-Disc breaks

E
-Also has push start  thumbup.gif
-Need to top up for tint outside (will cost me roughly rm2k)
- Cheaper by almost RM5600

Besides that, what tint is recommended? Something that won't give Smart Tag problem.
Please give your opinion, thanks!
*
imo Leather seat is much more comfy. If you have a good tint, ur interior wouldn't be very hot. and Another reason I got G is because of the Front Light. Lastly, the silver grill at front and rear in G looks better as it provides contrast to your car's color

Is the front fog lamp n rear fog lamp Switch different ?
*
The switch for front and back is together at the right switch
The level 1 of switch which is located at the furthest right is for our front lamp.
The level 2 switch which is located on left and next to the level 1 switch is for the fog lamps (front n back )

In order to enable the front fog lamp, we ll need to turn the level 2 switch clockwise one time, then for the back fog lamp just turn the level 2 switch clockwise again. Do note level 2 switch have dependency against level 1 switch.while the level 2 back fog switch is dependent on level 2 front fog switch.

^ push for left signal
21
|| front lamp and front fog lamp(but optional)
| to enable this back fog lamp (mandatory to enable front fog and front lamp)
V push for right signal

just want to ask, if the windscreen will break eventually?

Yup ithe crack Line will increase as wind comes flowing.
I think to fix it they will need to fill the crack with glue. Or something

All of this upgrade can cost a bomb. Better stick with original setup.
*
Any idea when selling the car the resale price is according to original car setup or with upgrade?

According to market value of the original price. Car resale value also subject to colour, modification, number of owners and etc.

I agree, this is definitely a defect.

Mine is G ,got different headlamp and so far no such issue.

Yes, mine is J but no such issue. Yesterday just took my car to SC checking due to my brake no function a few second during uneven road with speed 50kmj. Report came out ABS ok and the brake functioning well.  hmm.gif

Anyone had this experience before?

Comparing same B-Segment car like Honda City and Vios..
City is much cheaper than Vios and more security features.

Anyone may share your experience why Vios for you guys still a good move..

Thanks for sharing.
*
Cause I prefer the design and driving experience. counting out the security features because they don't kick in until accidents happen

New Vios vs New Mazda 2..............
Which should I choose?

Appreciate your expert comment.
*
1. Space - Mazda2 is a smaller car
2. Design - up to you
3. Driving experience - up to you
4. Service & parts - I think Toyota is better
5. Price - Mazda2 is more expensive
6. Feature - Mazda2 is better

you've installed soundproof on your doors?

mine had this 3-step feedback on door during earlier ownership. After installed soundproof material that weighted around 3kilo each door, the 3-step no longer there.. laugh.gif
*
Yeah , I have sounproof in the door. Actually mine isn't actually working effectively before I have the soundproof.
I thought these 3 steps thing are just some mechanism so Hopefully someone found out how to fix this.
