The car is light in the sense of response, but it howls like a bull upon heavy foot. Its normal since the car have pathetic sound insulation.

Currently your on 3rd tank only; why worry so much. Worst case scenario is get the ECU reset so that the car learn you driving behaviour again.

Btw, I'm also facing issue with this Vios:
1. Knocking sound from behind the steering wheel upon uneven road or speed bump crossing. Its really terrible
2. Annoying"Freeplay" mechanism on the brake pedal --> "tak" sound upon pedal release
3. Latest is some loose part on my rear driver side door panel... Suspect some clips or screw is inside the door panel... Even the window glass is rattling upon uneven road... really speechless.

For case 1 and 2 above, its a common issue for this latest Toyota. For you, do take not on this. Toyota SC had acknowledged this issue... Still pending solution from them...

Now I'm doomed, no choice but to consult Toyota.

do kindly take note that I've indicated clearly that its not 100% solving the issue since its a trial-and-error approach. And i also mentioned that i haven't test it out upon posting.

in the end, i do update that it doesn't solve the case. There is no post deletion in this forum hence user can read carefully and find out if it solves the issue.

An update on the rattling noise on my car.

Currently at Toyota Balakon. They couldn't solve the problem since the noise comes from car body chassis and not from the plastic door panels or B pillars covers. Hence, escalating it to HQ level. This means they need my car to stay 2-3 days for the troubleshooting and solution.

I'll leave my car here for next week and shall update the outcome thereafter.

Let's pray that they solve the problem.

Hope that this is just a minority since it involved car chassis and not the panels components. Guess I got the lemon car here.

Mine sounds like metal rattling sound.

quite some number of owners here doesn't have the solution from Toyota except AromaChong which she managed to claim fullset of lower arm.

I did asked SC this morning, they said its a common issue for Vios which at the moment they don't have any solution.
i think they have stock now, perhaps 1.5 months.

I have a highly recommended SA here; which based in Serdang Raya. Its under UMW Motor hence you rest assured that they have the stocks priority.

i dont dare to remove the whole door panels on my own...

however, lets see how they would solve the case next week when i'm leaving my car there for a week.

   
Icic. Oh btw, regarding the knocking sound near the steering wheels, I think my car has it too. Like a hard knock when going too fast on rough terrain. /sigh.

its from behind the steering wheel.. which is suspect to origin from the front RH lower arm.
this morning noticed that there are glass rattling noise from passenger side pulak~

I'm never really happy owning this car, seriously.

Whenever we need to resolve it... need to on weekdays only... 9am-5pm... which is my working hours.... everytime take leave to rectify the issue meh... thats only for troubleshooting... then repair is set for another day... AND its weekdays again...

Item1 is engine mounting. Item2 is the rood insulation.
after i chao... they called and said that the rood insulation is not here yet... therefore, they will skip that~

It will only reach by end of month... therefore, need to go back again~
