QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Jul 1 2014, 08:24 PM) squeeky noise from steering is actually the airBag trigger cable. SA said its like that. my fren got his spiral cable warranty and replace a new one.. but after change for few days the sound came back ..my nearly 10 years old Focus never have this sound also... ooh.. D shape rubber to reduce the wind noise.... good. I got a small D installation on my ride too. Ya, tomorrow I'm going to soundproof all my 4 doors and engine upper firewall at GA Auto Soundworks~ Then, Friday morning to Toyota Balakong for the roof insulation.. guess my project is done then... next up would be ICE... babeh~~ |

QUOTE(xakarix84 @ Jul 5 2014, 04:50 PM) after roof silencer installed, oh .. u mean roof insulation install by toyota? only 30%..? mm... - driving on small rain drop, now the noise on windscreen is louder than roof. - large water drop fall from tree etc etc, still loud but acceptable, about 30% decreased, the sound changed from "tong tong tong" to "tek tek tek", more solid and not hollow sound anymore. engine mounting, - so far 100% perfect on regular noise spot near my house, hope it won't back too soon as u guys claimed. regardless engine mounting RH , u will see the sound occur back after few days just like what we encountered. now i DIY the HU unit and the clip itself, and tape the wiring properly. rattling sound from dashboard gone forever test and drive without the conver and with cover. |

QUOTE(khee1 @ Jul 5 2014, 07:36 PM) not sure this help or not. mine come from cup holder, passenger and driver's side door , dashboard rattling behind headunit done wrapping all wires nicely..initially i hv a passenger sound when go up or down my apartment car park (same as shopping mall). i put sponge at few place. now...i think no more already/ or rarely have. place that i put. either 1 actually solved. i am not sure. (1) cup holder passenger (2) behind the drawer ( pull out the drawer, you saw alot of wired. i wrap it up. (3) below the drawer, actually there hv 1 plastic cover can easily move. i just make it not so easy swing only. for the B pillar one.. ( but my case is after intall D shape 3m only hear) actually is from the rear driver door) i spray the door using WD-40 ( same row with B pillar) no more sound.... so now no more irritating rattling sound yea! |

QUOTE(RoxyMunky @ Jul 8 2014, 08:53 AM) i couldn't find my service order on that engine mounting claim. So, i couldn't provide you the exact partNo. sorry. ah its the same part number. maybe its the time for us to claim new engine mounting as it has diff part number from tribetoyota claiming that the knocking sound 100% disappearah... found it at TribeToyota. Following is the details: OTHERS - CYLINDER HEAD 1230521341 INSULATOR ENG MTG i've quote leather seat before, it cost around RM1.7k for semi leather seats, and RM2.2k for full leather seats. The price includes door trim!! Following is the guy: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3073592&hl= he also provide leather wrap on steering which i'm quite keen~ As for foglamp, it cost between RM80-180. |

QUOTE(shuttlesworth @ Jul 11 2014, 03:09 PM) Hey glad to hear you guys getting your roof complaint attended to, is there any improvement? I thought its RH engine mounting? why lower arm?Sadly in my case here in Miri, I was told they need to speak to UMW KL first, and their technicians doing insulation need to be trained (yes, training!) beforehand. With all these crap excuses tai chi here and there, I have yet to get my roof insulated, and I've been waiting for almost a month already. Same excuses for the lower arm spare part, I got to wait. |

QUOTE(drakzero @ Jul 16 2014, 11:27 AM) I have no idea how that works, sorry for that. Hahaha. Anyway, his name is De Kee and I met him at Balakong Toyota (Wing Hin Sdn Bhd). I'm not sure if he's affiliated with that dealer or he can just go anywhere. Have no knowledge of how they work. Anyway, you can look him up, or PM me if you need his number. Hahaha xakarix84On an unrelated note, there's a poster who says that his knocking issue is gone after replacing to a newer engine mounting. How's it going? |
