Only three model in my list. Either it is vios, city or almera. How much for vios insurance?
*
i think its RM2k+.

QUOTE(kerorokatak @ May 9 2014, 11:36 AM)
I also is new owner for this vios, n my old car is honda city 2006. I change to vios is bcoz my city cvt gearbox start give me problem, I feel my old honda city more power n nice to drive compare to this new vios. Vios is like no power to climb up a small hill when i go home every day. Mayb is my problem coz still new to vios.

I will choose honda if the city is not using cvt gearbox.
*
CVT power output is linear compared to conventional gearbox. Its the nature of CVT. But the upside is that its fuel savings.

Yah... CVT is really fuel saving alot, but when CVT giving a problem is really sakit kepala n cost a "bomb" to replace new CVT.

How the result? Did settle the "tuk-tuk" sound when crossing speed hump? All can fix in 1 day?
*
QUOTE(aromachong @ May 14 2014, 06:38 PM)
so, there is no more kruk sound problem upon crossing speed bump anymore? thx

the 11119 parts refers to engine mounting?
*
I've checked the engine mounting... The RH one.... It's changed.

Today on the way back home.... Didn't heard any... Normally few bump will hear... But not today. Guess it's solved.

Glad to hear your problem is solved. Do update us if u heard it on tomorrow or not.

The kruk sound u can heard from inside cabin.. it's like something loosen or something loosen part dropped right?
*
just reached office... never heard the knocking sound(something loose part drop noise as you preferred) which i could notice in certain section of the route.

so far so good.

Hi guys,
New Vios G owner here.  Crap, this morning there was a heavy rain here, and the roof is making so much noise.  Even my old Myvi isn't that noisy.
Has anyone of you managed to get the insulation done?
*
welcome to the pathetic car owner club.

only few claimed... i've lodged complaint... they will install it... at the moment no stock... hence need to wait till end of month.

normally I will do the wheel alignment balancing every 10k service smile.gif
Outside cost will be cheaper if compare to do alignment balancing in SC smile.gif
*
it cost me around RM65 for the balancing, alignment and tyre rotation in Toyota SC.

outside is around RM6 per pcs of balancing... alighment around RM20 only. Therefore, all in around RM50 only~

guess your "knocking" issue solved permanently after successfully claimed driver's side engine mounting?

so far so good....

QUOTE(brothercheong @ May 21 2014, 10:20 PM)
bros, thanks for reply yo... however, if i choose not to do alignment at SC, will it void my warranty?
*
i dont think that it will void the warranty since its only servicing, not changing parts.

Roxy, how did you mentioned the issue  to Toyota SC?
During booking for service or when you are assigned to a guy at the SC ?

Wanna make sure they dont ding dong or push the questions around to each other.

thanks in advance
*
what i did is lodge a complaint.

They will make appointment with you; together with a Technician to identify the root cause.

Once confirmed, they will arrange with you another appointment for the parts replacement.

Hope this info help. smile.gif

I found an interesting pic in paul tan website, which is one of the presentation slides during launch on the new vios and u notice one of the point is 'right engine mount' apparently designed actually to improve sound insulation to reduce low frequency booming noise.... Well, just sharing
*

the hollow sound from rear is no longer there. much better driving experience...

I've even done the 4 wheel arch to kill the tyre noise...

now, my next project is door seal and whole cabin undercarriage. sweat.gif

the cabin NVH for this car is really crap. really overpriced car.

2014 Vios G spec. Took delivery in January 2014 from Toyota Showroom in Bayan Baru, Penang. Bloody alarm has been going off for no reason ever since i took the car home. Sent the car to service center in Bayan Baru and also Jelutong main center altogether 3 times!!!! Even left the car for a few days at the service center to check and rectify! Problem not solved. Brand new car and I can't even drive to the mall as i am not sure when the alarm will go off! Feel totally ripped off with extremely poor assistance from TOYOTA!!! Car now strictly for office or home only as i don't have to lock the car door hence no alarm!!!!!! Jelutong service center Tan is of NO help!!! "I will contact the technician" is all that he can do... guess its not his fault too!!!!! Bloody TOYOTA!!!!! Only know how to take money!!!! Anyone know what can i do???
*
sorry to see your persistent problem.

are all the 3 service centre were just a mere authorized SC?

try to find one which belongs to UMW Toyota.
