Hi all. If i want to change my oem j spec to the g spec player, do i nid to change the casing also? Or jst pnp ? Huhu. Thanks. smile.gif
*
the G spec player comes with the casing.

you just need to pull out the current J player and the casing. then replace the whole G player. i've changed mine when i got my J Vios.

200myr per bush? Woah..got 3 bush each arm so
1 arm already 600myr? Wahhh better buy complete set new arm then?
*
i think it comes in set. Each lower arm has 2 bush and 1 caster.

Last time my Ford Focus cost me like RM450-550 per lower arm to change all 3.

Hence, for Vios might be around RM250 per lower arm. Do give it a check. I couldn't recall which member asked before. I've referred him to a workshop in Taman LenSeng.

Guys, wanna ask. My vios is 3rd version vios 2014. But when heavy raining its sound like dalam tin milo. What I should ask SC about this?
*
they will only insert few sponge into it, thats all.

if you want better, go install soundproof and dampening material which cost around RM650-850 for the roof.

get urself around 5xx aside to invest in a decent sound damping for ur roof top which will solve ur problem

throw in another 2xx to get the second layer of heat insulation ( something like tinted fucntion ) which will not only further insulate noise but also heat from entering from ur car roof smile.gif
*
agree with you bro.

It really depends on individual requirement on what they want from their ride.

QUOTE(aromachong @ Jun 30 2015, 10:50 PM)
i also interest much into sound insulation

but after i heard advises from big boss UMW TOYOTA HQ, they advise me not to use custom mat & roof insulation

custom mat for driver's side, the thickness of custom mat will affect the performance of acceleration pedal

roof insulation - the more thickness hence more weight on it... some users experience insulation drop when they go through certain bump/ certain uneven road

I am sorry but i don't mean to affect your business or whatsoever reasons deem fit but to input from what i gain knowledge from the big boss UMW TOYOTA HQ

maybe u have some ways to overcome issue big boss mentioned
*
Custom Mat --> you can actually make a cut out at the pedal area to avoid having contact with the accelerator pedal mechanics.

roof insulation --> its dampening material is indeed carries weight; else it wouldn't have the dampening effect to "hold" the milo tin from vibrating. Hence its normal to add some weight. As for the falling off dampening mat; i think its installation process issue.

My both 2 cars already done full floor + wheel arch + boot dampening and insulation. No problems at all. As for the roof, i believe the same methodology applies.

I believe luxury car also have such dampening material installed to give the "luxury" feel aka low cabin NVH. So end of the day its still the installation and labour skills that count.

I will report his sales thread to admin and hopefully serious discussion thread is not flooded like what it is in garage sales.
*
he's only sharing the market price; instead of hard-selling his service. i don't see any issue here actually.

Ps. i'm just saying all this as neutral guy from a neutral perspective. No hard feelings here bro.

The reported sales thread will go to admin and will be deleted/warned eventually like what happened in Honda thread.

I strongly oppose any sales thread like what we see in Honda discussion thread not to mention all the images uploaded with price tag.

One may PM any users if they need to ask for the market price but he choose to spam in serious discussion thread with all sorts of his sales. Bear in mind, this is not the garage sales thread.

The final decision is on admin's hand which all the sales' post got deleted.

The FnF rules stated very clearly as this is my last explanation on why i will keep my eye on him and report any his offense posts

We may get back to Vios topic.

-End Of Discussion-

man, its such a waste that you're not an LYN forum admin!

QUOTE(Sh@rty 5 @ Jul 2 2015, 11:58 AM)
Bro I need u to check myvi thread . I share opinion d now owner ask for price I dare not reply  later u report. U go double check wat shud I reply. Ppl asking me market price.

Or just because I am a seller I cnt share the market price ?

P.s if everyone pm than we will have members saying is it that diff ppl have diff price . Y need pm  .

Personal experience. We do have ppl complaining.  I dun see any reason why pm . Why cnt we just share the price here n etc . Than again. It's another problem .

But heck I am here for business plus social . N like I say yes my comment will definitely be somehow sales bias but it's only with regards to Vios . Not like I am taking a random product for other cars  n advertising here  . I am not here to please u so u can be ur admin job . Next time like I say got slot of admin I will double hand raise to suggest u 😅

Back to soundproofing

As for the roof yes it will be a little tricky. For those trying to diy.  Try not to go all up at one piece. Cut it into 2 piece before sticking so that it doesn't carry so much weight it one go . Unlike floor where u can basically use any damping material . Parts like engine hood . Roof . N rear under dashboard . Gotta use brands like stp . Nvr use china damping as the heat would cause it to fall .
*
support you to suggest aromaChong as admin~ thumbup.gif

bro, no wonder my insulation DIY on car bonnet certain portion falls... so i need to cut smaller pieces and restick it. good advise bro~ thumbup.gif

smile.gif thxs for the support bro, even though u went to a diff shop for sp, but at least ur stand is neutral here..

anyway back to ur diy..

wat did u use? superlon? and the dunlop glue to stick?

Superlon might be ok to solve door rattling, and adding in as the second layer for the roof, but for engine i am afraid the heat would make that thing "crack" in long run starts to become small particles, peeling off...

but diy wise ok la , takkan we as shop selling at a higher price spray those dunlop glue on ur new ride, not acceptable  sweat.gif

as for ur front, not sure how u cut ( check our fb page ) dun wanna post pic here again , nanti u cnt see me logging in for 1 week yawn.gif

cut it according to the shape, instead of one whole piece.

er u get wat i meant? hmm.gif
*
mine bought from a seller here in LYN Auto Garage Sales.

it comes with sticker on it; and reflective skin on top to prevent heat to bonnet. Yeap, i did cut according to the bonnet bone frames; but certain portion is tricky... hence not nicely applied... hahahahah.
https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hpho...1a1a96f91d35b6f

only the right hand side, some curvy portion is peeling off... but luckily only 1 pcs la.

as for the rest, i did it outside... for both my Vios and Focus.

Apa ni . This not consider cut according to bone le bro or pic blur

Am outside now. Post an eg for how it looks like if u cut according to bone. Now using phone cnt post pic
*
so far only the right hand side portion fell off.. perhaps its the non sticky sticker surface issue.

i still got extra, perhaps can re-apply this weekend~ biggrin.gif

QUOTE(steventanz @ Jul 2 2015, 11:43 PM)
Hey guys, i installed the pedal lock on my vios when i got it from SA. Didnt really test it on the spot. When i went back, found out that even when i pull the lock already, im still able to push start the car after pressing the pedal. Called SA and he says that since this is plug and play, the function is to prevent thief from getting access to your wiring to push start the car. So if you have the remote on your hand, you still can push start the car even after u lock it. If want those really cannot push start one need those cut the wiring type which might void the warranty of the car. Just wanna know if its true?  sweat.gif
*
is it LockTech brand?

i ask before last time, its not functional on PushStart models. Not sure if LockTech had come up with a newer model that works with PushStart setup.

However, you still preventing thieves from driving your car since the brake pedal is totally shut off.

Just received my car few week ago. How to identify the knocking sound issue? So far , i'm not hearing any knocking sound on my car...
*
go through speed bump in like 20+kmh... once the car jerk upon crossing.. you will heard a "thuk" noise from behind your steering... thats where the engine mounting is located.

Hi, newbie here. Just got car last 2 weeks.
Ask my friend working in Toyota Mfg plant about this issue, the issue has been resolved for new batch of cars as if current batch (which I don't know when is the assy date).

So far, no sound from my car. Hopefully it will not have any biggrin.gif
Rumple92, don't you think re-sale value for Kia cars are very low compare to others?
*
the re-sale value of Korean cars are picking up now.

It will still be slightly lower than Japs, perhaps in the 5-10% margin.
