Anyone owned the new Vios yet? Is it good? Ive been wanting to buy one but need more reviews

got my new vios G spec today

So far no issues as mentioned at previous thread versions.
- no sound from dashboard when using the road bump
- no ticking or any sound when driving, sound proof is superb
- the only unusual thing is the pedal break. At some point when I let it off, it sounds as if the pedal bounces back suddenly. Caused some bounced back knocking sound. Nothing serious for me.

Summary. Very satisfied with it.

Got the quartz brown. Kinda bored with looking at the old vios colors

try to drive until certain mileage then u will notice when u go through bump at certain speed u will get the sound from lower arm or absorber .. im not sure but my fren G spec also got this prob

My SA told me 2014 manufacture will arrive after CNY…i booked last year…suppose to take car early this month, but my SA said if i want 2014 car…he can help me arrange but need to wait after CNY…He said Toyota will only start manufacture new vios at end of January

What i heard from my SA is J,E,G specs for new vios available d except TRD specs.. & my friend getting his 2014 vios next week

common sense, now is already 10Jan2014... your friend is getting a year 2014 car next week... then, quite some customers abort/postpone their year end car purchase due to Malaysian mindset that year registered affected the resale value. this further leads to high inventory in UMW.

Hence, i think its quite impossible to have year 2014 car for your friend.

I'm not trying to condemn your friend but just analyzing this from business point of view.

Well, everything will be stated in the car's registration card and he already have the chasis number. no worries

lol.. now when i drive to certain speed around 60-70km/h.. then the driver door side and passenger door side will come out some sort of noise... like krik krik krik noise.. lol.. such a lousy NVH... wtf man?

maybe i need to sell car now and go for Altis?

told you before, the Vios J cabin NVH is really pathetic.

but i never encounter this "krik krik krik" sound from the door side.

Not sure then...maybe different toyota center different date getting new car from factory

If I'm not mistaken, E spec have the same NVH as J spec.

So this will happen on E spec as well ?

they said G have better NVH since they bang on the "Acoustic Windscreen" feature in the USP.

I'm not sure about J; but SA said its the same... that means be prepared for crappy cabin NVH.

I was totally awed by the NVH degree~

Ps. my bad also; coz i never test drive the car before buying.

maybe u can try it out.. try to off ur sound system completely and test it on certain road with certain speed limit.. maybe u can figure it out
