Busy this few day run up to CNY, everywhere is jam up. Just too tired to do anything so my two Russian BTR-70 and BMD-2 just have to wait for their camo after the CNY. I once bought two minihobby T-72B due to it cheap price. Just end up did one, the ERA block is a headache to fix as it come in big pcs and individual pcs with no clear instruction where it go, so end up sticking all over and left the big chuck. So for those who start it, use the big one first and then use the smaller one to fill in any space left. I am still pondering to start the trumpeter btr-60p due to it many parts of over 450 each kit.

Wow, that a Meng BMP-T Terminator you building there. It look like Russian armour is in fashion this 2015. Yes, all that trumpeter kit from Btr-60P to BTR-80A is going to be into my collection waiting for the 3 more kit to reach after CNY. BTR-80 ( I going to make this into Bangladesh Army version) and BTR-80A (into Indonesia UNIFIL) and BMP-2D into Ulkraine Pro-Russian MH17 version. I got that Meng BMP-T and most of the part look similar to my T-72 especially the hull part with it road wheel and under hull. Those building Russian armour, just select one and skip the rest, as most are similar as it going to be deva vu feeling doing it.

That Bishop is the answer to huge big turret KV-2. I love italeri 1/72 as it simple and some even come with simplify war game assemble like my M20 armour car. Revell 1/72 come in over 160 parts just like it 1/35 brother for a GTK Boxer. I got that Meng BMP-T and it come with over 1000 parts (mainly track). Will take note and replace with metal wire when doing the side skirt. Still WIP for my Meng Panzer 2000. The metal barrel is too heavy for that little plastic to hold it.

Where U get that Ace model kit? Been to HHQ and managed to get some old stock but not the newer type. There are still some PST WW2 Russian vehicle like KV-1 to KV-2 type of kit there. Ace mold come in big heavy chuck where one can always drill and add wire into it for the hook and stuff. Some part they ask one to build own. Do HHQ getting new stock? The price is about the same as revel so if the same tanks. Better choose Revell.

Most of the kit required one to assemble it yourself. The one on display are done display unit. Just ask Mr.Low to open up one box and you will know. Hear this coming Saturday there is a session and group build LAT there. Just drop by from 1 - 6 pm Saturday and maybe one can get to know what available and kind of kit one want. Most of the who and who in model building are there too.

Yes, we collector of 1/72 CTC will like to keep all our stuff in that scale but the kit is hard to find. Luckily, CTC provided a lot of them already. I go for 1/35 if it got interior detail or transparent casing with interior - more for educating and show what inside as it too small for 1/72 to have interior. Tiger 1 - your ace bmd look better quality then the batch I bought last time that come in big chuck of plastic. Zsu-23-2 in that scale without PE must be hard to do.

Yes, that a old trumpeter kit in the early day when it was trying to copy Tamiya. It even come with a motor to run it. I saw both version at the same price and decide to get the Iraq 2003 version. Have not even start it yet as I am working on BTR-60P at the moment with BTR-80A next. Already completed BTR-70 Afghanistan now at primer stage while the BDM-2 is also waiting for Mr.Hobby Primer. It does smell heavy with those stuff as compared to Aques range. The Zvezda kit are simple to build but less detail compared to trumpeter - no complain here as it cost 50% of trumpeter. I build the BTR-70 with all hatch shut while BTR-60P is open top. Get my from Mr.Lee of Sandakan Hobby who still give me the old price during my latest order for Chinese Type 59/69/80 kit. So after BTR - will be Chinese MBT. Will make it run with the motor.

HHQ got some interesting Ace kit price ranging from RM45 to 60/=. That is near the 1/35 trumpy kit. End up placing order for Ulkraine BMP-1U, BMP-2 late version, ZSU-23-2, MT-LBM (6MB). plus the Japanese Airfix tank. I know it on the high side but this is hard to find kit and easy to do too. Will have to go for nasi lemak next month after blowing up all my budget for the hobby this year on the first 3 month! Wallet is now shouting....

That a lot man, RM60/= custom fees. RM230/=. Better just get it from the local hobby shop then. The Meng T-90 with dozer and LED light do not come with engine as the older T-90 yet the part still about the same as it come with the dozer!

Some 1/35 kit come in a huge box but empty inside. Example are Zvezda Kit and Trumpeter. All huge box. I usually transfer the spruce into a A4 size document holder (selling at Popular Book for around RM6.65) and carry it around to build. I put some smaller box and sponge into it to prevent it rolling inside. The Meng kit usually are smaller box but fully pack.

Finally done the machine gun unit for Myanmar Army Type 59D with Reactive Armour as on parade early this year. Trumpeter Type 59/69 sharing similar spruce as I get both and comparing it one come with extra cage armour while other add in 3 crews. Since both sold around RM65/each from Sandakan. Just get both to save on postage. Type 80 is different machine even when they share one single large spruce.

Ship rather simple as the part are tiny, one don't do anymore thing about it then just stick it on. After making a few, one will get the same deva vu feeling that all ship are alike.

Ace Kit are not cheap a 1/72 scale is about the same price as a normal trumpeter 1/35 kit but it a rare model. It arrival the next day!

That Ace MT-LBM 96MB) from HHQ is a challenge to work on as one must drill a lot of small hole for the wire to make own handle on the many doors. The fitting is bad and need basic putty to fill up. The good side is they provide more parts expecting it to be lost or damaged. Extra two wheel, many more spare tracks. Hope to complete it today. HHQ offer my only two MT-LB and ZSU-23. Since ZSU-23 is already available in 1/35. I opted for 1/35 as 1/72 is just too tiny and fragile unless it diecast.

That Ace MT-LB track is a pain to assemble. Better do it first the bottom wheel and the track before putting anything on top. The single link is hard to do, so use the extra medium track link and hot air blower (your hair blower) to soften it and bend into the wheel. The many handle, I just use the network cable cut out and bend using plier to put into place after drilling it. Can use hand drill or dremel but mark it and drill a small hole. Will never buy another ace kit again after working on that track. PST track is much better.

The Ace wheeled kit are ok as it easy to put together, the BMP track must be very tiny. Why they don't included a viny track for a great Russian AFV or more people will get it.
