Well if you travel, the dock is going to be an extra hassle

Personally I prefer the cable coz you could bring it around without the hassle of carrying the dock.
Problem is, you need to cables, one at home and one in the office because you dont want to risk damaging the flaps when you open and close them too often.

Same here, all my chargers are plugged into my 5 socket power strip. Me alone has 4 phones to charge, adding my family would easily reach 10 USB charged devices.

Isn't the dock a usb thing also? Or is it like a normal charger (3 pin plug thing)?

Considering that we can lunge around bigger sized powerbanks than a small dock, bringing the dock around (comparatively) isn't too big a problem right?

I'm waiting for Sony's bundle.

But considering all things, like warranty wise.
Because if it's an AP set, have to go back to the same dealer.
When buy it at Sony, can just go to any Sony centre that's available.

Btw the dock is actually quite small from what I have seen in real life so I don't think it is a mess taking it out. I think you also can keep it in your pocket since it is so small.

Anyway, the magnetic cable is just an alternative for getting an extra non original charging cable for the Xperia Z1 Compact. Not meant to replace the dock or anything.

But I like the magnetic cable more than the dock.You can use your phone freely while charging with the magnetiic cable but the dock just sit on the table and you can't take it with your hand while using.

And did you know that inside the dock is actually the magnetic cable.So you are likely to pay more for the dock which you can easily get the magnetic cable for a low price.

Again depends on your usage I guess. I don't like to use my phone while it's charging through wall plug.
Heats it up too fast. Somemore we're advised to not use for calling when charging :3

The dock is a definite buy.
But maybe i'll get that magnetic cable for outside purposes like powerbanks
For on the go, the cable is more suitable yes.

But if we stay put somewhere, the dock is still preferable for me i guess
