Although it contains more than 1 active ingredient, which is 1 mg (0.1 %) adapalene that may possibly cause dryness or/and irritation, you may try as I saw glycerin as one of the ingredients as well.

So I just got Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser, let's see how that'll work in a couple of weeks. So is the Benzac 2.5% supposed to get rid of the breakouts? The red acne spot? I have bunch of those smaller spots with hardened whiteheads inside. How do I get rid of them without leaving scars?

I saw that apart from the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. They are also selling this Cetaphil Facial Cleanser. What is the difference and which would you recommend for the regime?

What is the difference and which would you recommend for the regime? In the past (if you follow this thread's old posts), some may claim that the daily facial cleanser is too dry as compared to the basic gentle cleanser. Anyhow, you could still opt for the daily facial cleanser if its suitable to you.http://www.cetaphil.com/daily-facial-cleanser Thanks. |

It will fade over time. |

QUOTE(surphyn @ Sep 3 2017, 04:24 AM) This may be of interest to you:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0B7RXCp47k I dont have cystic acne, just spots and I'm in my 30s. So stressed I tell ya. ANyway I did almost everything she said on the video- cut dairy out completely, taking a probiotic and L-Lysine. Worked. I didnt need the detox part 'cause my diet is actually very clean; i dont eat much sugar or processed foods and I do workout 3-4 times a week. But ya, try. L-Lysine in Malaysia- 21st Century brand. Bough 3 bottles for about RM90 I think. This post has been edited by daylight_dancer: Sep 10 2017, 10:34 PM |

QUOTE(jinyee80 @ Aug 29 2016, 07:58 AM) You need BP, as Cetaphil is meant to cleanse the skin, and prepare it for the next step, which is the OTC treatment. Try not to take those oral antibiotic as it controls your hormone, as in some cases, the acne was not due to hormone but rather skin care products. Oral antibiotc does not affect your hormones dude. It kills the bacteria that causes the acne, and it also kills the good bacteria as well as the bad.Pitted scar you meant? BIRTH CONTROL pills are the ones that control hormones. Forehead acne is usually not hormone related. It could be just a bad diet so a diet clean up should do the trick. But the skin care stuff- yes. Try it. |

It's difficult to get 2.5% BP cream/gel especially the Benzac / neutrogena. Any alternative to both of these products?
