hello,i've used jin yee regime for about a month..i wash my face twice a day with cetaphil..sumtimes 3 times a day when i feel my face too oily..i applied BP once for 2 day..1st it became red patches, then i feel burning now its so itchy..feel like want to scratch my face..i jz wear neutrogena moisturiser jz when i feel my face too dry..my pimples keep on popping until now..the 1 with puss...i try not to squeeze but sumtimes its pecah by itself..my question is,is it ok if i feel my face drying,burning,itch..how do i know if i sensitive to BP?i am jz scared i might sensitive to BP since pimples keep on popping non stop.. makes me embarass.. :-(
some people are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide and what is the strength of BP that you are using? BP is to dry up your acne and if the strength is strong, you will have the reaction that you are having.
also, when our face is dry, our skin will produce more sebum to compensate the dryness. so, why not practice using hydrating moisturizer whenever you finished washing your face. i washed my face only twice a day and if didn't go out, i wash it only once a day using cleanser, which is usually at night. in the morning, i wash it with water only. but if i go out, usually twice a day with cleanser and if i am on make up when i go out, am still washing it twice a day with cleanser and cleansing oil to remove make up.
BP isn't for everyone.. just like any other acne or skin care regime. it works for someone or some people but it won't work for everyone cus every individual skin react differently.
if your skin can't tolerate BP, you may consider changing it to other. for my case, BP and salicylic acid do not work. i find azelaic acid work better. but now i am using kojic acid soap once a day and my face is free from acne. it pops out once in a while.
