Hey guys, I'm getting a new car soon. Just curious what do you use as tinting for your Elantra?

My current Saga is using 6 mill (with very good heat rejections) but it seems too thick and can easily see that the window is hardly being wind up/down. Also, hard to pass thru "smart tag" sensor...


Edit: just checked the warranty card (tinting), is 6 mill instead 5 mill.. with 10 years warranty.

I prefer to get tint below 6 mil... 4 mil with good heat rejection (>=90%) and VLT within JPJ guidelines...

Luckily Saga got so call "whole life" warranty for power window...

There is once during a car exhibition in a shopping mall, with no other customers around, I bump to T SA and asked for latest car price and spec details.

As I wearing short and t-shirt only, he asked me to look at the brochure near the car myself. He dun even bother to introduce the cars to me and remains seated on his chair...

Anyone installed pedal lock (Redbat / Locktech) for Elantra? Should be plug and use type.

Will this void warranty?

For Saga, the SC has no problem with this. But how about Elantra?

The RedBat for my Saga has no problem (not even rattle sound) after 2 years+...

But now planned to change to Elantra, so wanna see if it will void warranty or not. Or just same like Proton, no issue at all cos no cutting on wires..

Got the below reply from Hyundai's representative:

We regret to inform you that such modification would void the warranty coverage for the tempered area only. The warranty for other areas are still remaining. We do not recommend modifying the vehicle as we do not know whether it would cause any un-natural wear and tear to certain parts in the future. We also have noted in the past that some customer have encountered safety issues such as short circuits, engine die off (due to battery drained), etc due to modification.

Seems like can only use the steering lock which is less safe but troublesome...

Same goes to the T brand. There is T roadshow near my area last few days and my friends asked me to check for the latest price. And no SA layan me at all even I approached them...

perhaps they earn a lot ady... dun care if less u one buyer..
