I'm also a new owner. Will be doing 1k service soon. There is a whining sound everytime before the engine starts. When i off the engine, no sound but when i open the door, the sound happens again. Sc says its normal. True? Sorry to bother all of you but nd some guidance.... I recorded the sound but cannot/dunno how😊 to attach a sound file

Guys, I have a problem with my elantra air cond.

It only happens when I drive long distance like 2 hours non stop. It won't happen when I drive in city daily.

The air cond will become totally not cold anymore. When I turn up the air cond speed there is a loud blowing sound buy very little air coming out from the vent.

When I reach home and let the car cool down, the problem goes away and becomes normal again. I don't know compressor problem or sensor problem

Anyone have issue like me?

Anyone serviced their car lately? Was at Pandan Indah Service Center this morning to service my car (5K service interval) and was informed that the service during for services have increase due to numerous complaints from the customers.
If you use Semi-Synthetic, the next service will be in 3 months time however the service center claimed that is now extended by another 3 months (3+3) and for Fully-Synthetic is now 6 months plus another 3 (6+3). Can someone here confirmed this?

Any1 test out the alarm system? I tried...
1. Unlock the door
2. Power down the window.
3. Close and lock the door.
4. Put the smart key 2 meters away.
5. Open door from inside.... No alarm trigger.......

They said need to replace whole set of the side mirror

I am a 1.8L owner. Yeah everything is nice about our elantra except the absorbers / springs. I think the reason why the car came with such soft absorber is that they actually work and feel with no issues if driven on flat and nicely tarred roads. The koreans did not expect we have poth-holes all over the place here in Malaysia. Hence those soft absorbers are not suitable for Malaysian roads 

By the way. If I wish to change the absorbers do I need to also change the springs too? Any brand and shop recommendation? I have already installed Ultra racing anti roll and tower bars. They do add alot of stability but I still feel the car's stability and feel when going over bumps, uneven roads or poth holes are still not 100% ideal or even close to 100% ideal. Hence I am considering changing the absorbers / springs too
