Hey guys, I'm getting a new car soon. Just curious what do you use as tinting for your Elantra?

My current Saga is using 6 mill (with very good heat rejections) but it seems too thick and can easily see that the window is hardly being wind up/down. Also, hard to pass thru "smart tag" sensor...
Edit: just checked the warranty card (tinting), is 6 mill instead 5 mill.. with 10 years warranty.

Last weekend i drop by Hyundai Glenmarie to visit Ms Laura Teoh after a several time i postponed the appointment..
No doubt i will recommend her to everybody who want to buy Hyundai car. Super friendly with her smile always roses on her face. She never tired to reply and supply any info that i need. She can negotiate and try to find a way to suit our budget and tolerate to squeeze what ever she could so we can get what we want. Its like win-win situation. She also help us on the same date for a car dealer in order for us to sell our current car. I know she try to lock the customer as her job but she did hell of a fine job..

Realy different with a few other car seller that i meet. Super langsi and less hospitality. aih..

Im planning to contact her to test drive 1.6 Turbo volester when the car arrive in Malaysia later.

Cant wait for our loan to approved and new car come out from the warehouse..
hehe..

Gosh. Thanks a lot for your support and kind words En Karas... I will work things out for you asap... YB is waiting for u tongue.gif

Haha. Ok.

premium payable is the same nationwide no matter which insurance company.

So far feedback on tokio marine's service here in peninsular malaysia is quite good. Dont know about sabah though. U shud ask friends there which one claiming no headache. Or breakdown back up fast and efficient... then buy that lo tongue.gif

Hi there,

Warranty issue???? Is HE warranty void if i didn't follow the maintenance schedule of 3months or 5000km (whichever come first)?? I knew that Sime Darby had changed the company policy on the maintenance.
*
Every car manufacturer requires owners to follow the recommended maintenance schedule, not only Sime Darby lah

Note:
3 months or 5000km if u use semi syn
6 months or 10000km if u use fully syn
Whichever comes first
~ late max 15 days or 500km extra

Just got my elantra from LauraTeoh moment ago. I must say that she is very dedicated and very quick in response compared to other SAs contacted me, else I might purchased Cerato instead Elantra.

There is some issue about my trade in, but she did a good work in helping me to solve the issues (in pretty fast and efficient manners). Most importantly, she delivered her promises. icon_rolleyes.gif  Hope there is good after sales services as well  rclxms.gif
Quite a massive jam from Glenmarie to KL, but I enjoy the new ride. To me, the 1.6 is a bit under-power (still acceptable) but the drive is quite fun and quiet. Elantra got a pretty good noise insulation as I can only hardly to hear the noise from surroundings. No issue spotted so far.

BTW, I forgot to bring my smart tag along  doh.gif  and I have to open door to pay for the tolls (as I just done the tinting)  sweat.gif  . Perhaps this make other drives there, think even new korean car already got problem with the mirrors...

On the fuel consumption topic... do a test:

Heavy footed or demanding driving, turn off Eco mode

Easy cruising, turn on Eco mode

Change the mode any time during driving.

See got what results tongue.gif

As a sales person u should know by now the HE  'eco mode'  it's just an indicator how heavy footed u r?
It doesn't in any way control the throttle.
*
That's what I thought...

I am not as privileged as u guys to own an Elantra, so u guys wud probably be more pro than me, but from the test drives and refuelling I've done, I found the car more responsive with Eco off, more controlled when Eco on. Minyak habis more cepat when i force the car to work harder on Eco On mode.

Of course this could be psychological, that's y my posting earlier mentioned "test" lor. Hehe.

Yes, I am a salesperson, but I am also a forumer who just wana share my experience driving the Elantra like the rest of u ma tongue.gif

Hi all, I plan to change the head unit for my little Elantra 1.6. Survey through the website and they're few brands available:
1. Hanns (same as the Elantra 1.8)
2. Adayo CE4AP4
3. DLAA
4. Crossfire

Need your comments here, which works well with Elantra 1.6 steering control and original port (usb, aux and etc.), will install reverse camera too..

Thank you.

I'm still looking for advice here..
but I myself is more bias to Adayo as some said its sound quality is slightly better than original 1.8 head units. And crossfire is kinda "cheap" to me, and dunnoe much about DLAA.
As mentioned in my earlier post, Hyundai itself confirmed to me that it will void the hu warranty only, and the rest remains.. since the new hu gt its own warranty, so I dun see any issue.. just new hu is not cheap!
nwadays, no mattar what u changed to the elantra (even plug and play or add on), they will still say, VOID warranty..
*

[/quote]

Certain plug and play accessories will require (example) minimal modification to existing wiring, and such modification, however minimal, will void your warranty for

It is my responsibility as your salesperson to remind you of the risks. I dont hit and run. I will be around to help after sales therefore I rather scare u now then kena tembak later should warranty really kena void tongue.gif

I have had my eyes on this car ever since I first saw it... is it a good enough deal? Should I take it?
