Just came back from Endau-Rompin...a tired journey.. .almost 6hrs trip plus trafic jam from senawang to nilai... sweat.gif

Server now running GP2 Mod (Zero-g VMS), members plz download the mod from the FTP server.

Kimi,

Add Part 5 - when it's 100% done, courier to my house.... tongue.gif

Heard the G25 will be in the market sometime in Oct/Nov this year (not sure). It cost ~ USD299 (the preview seems to be OK but wait for the review after the release...will consider buying it if everything OK...or else will go for FREX)

AMDunFreak,

here's my setup for the racing sims, the momo will be replaced with the new Logitech G25 Steering Wheel soon.

About the late braking, i won't do that unless desperate to overtake or been pushed... sweat.gif Sometimes it lock the tire. Knowing the limit is the key, only practise can improve. This is my driving technique, brake late & hard & downshift until car feel fishtail, reduce the brake 50% and at the same time apply some throttle 30%-50% basically to do some weight transfer balance. Different people got different style.

Redline - we hope u finish higher in the actual race, that is if they dun kick u out for bad ping thanks to our "broad"band connection!

Tried Megane for a short while last night, Megane is using sequential paddle shifting, and really powerful engine

Anyway since i already start my h-shifter project, may as well finish em. Mechanical part is almost complete, missing the return to centre spring. I have ideas for the electronic switches but dun have the right material.

Back to Megane - with rfactor 1150 u can disable the in game steering wheel, with the right FOV and sitting position (plus my fresnel lens) i can get very close to real view as if driving the real thing

I know the problems already, i need to get the IP starting with 218 or 219, if 60 than my ping will be very high to their server > 300ms (that's happen previous round where i can't race due to high ping)...after trying connect & disconnect of streamyx, my IP still 60...look's like i have to upgrade account using one permanent IP.... vmad.gif

What's your FOV value now?

So got the PSU already?

FOV - experimenting between 50 to 60, previously set to 66 in f3 league

seriously, with the fresnel lens, minus the in-game wheel, and about right fov, u'll get very close to like in a simulator

unfortunately switching to the open wheel , i need to readjust the fov again, seat height etc. but cannot set it too real as vision would be limited i.e. u cannot see the apex and turns easier, u know what i mean

maybe need to use different profile for different cars if that is possible, will experiment again.

but dun think this fresnel lens is good for ur 24" wide lcd, i may be wrong. My take is the fresnel lens im using is good for those running 17"-19" non wide.

PSU check my siggy

Really interested to join you guys.
Not fair when a MOMO user go racing against keyboard players.
Of course MOMO user are slower because it's not easy to brake and accel
with pedals and steering wheel.
Also, MOMO use cockpit view as those keyboard players using other views.

But 1st, needs to learn driving manually...clutch and gear sweat.gif
Did that during P licence tongue.gif
What a nightmare...so bad at it.

manual shifting as in using the paddles or stickshift to shift, no clutch needed

Raikkonen,

Replied your PM already.

I'm using auto clutch while racing since this is the only driving aid allowed.

The max speed of ASRWC rFactor MOD = 280km/h.

Not fair driving with keyboard players? turn all aids off & u see how worst their driving....and how good wheel drivers perform...lol

Kimi,
Tonight is my race ASRWC, go to their website & connect the teamspeak under Malaysia, i'm there. And don't forget to watch live broadcast at 8PM local time.....

Dgn new PSU, ade problem grafik kad tu lagi tak?

I'll purchase rFactor this evening. The demo got me addicted before I could finish the very first lap tongue.gif.

Got Momo and ADSL 1024/512

I won't quit F1C since we just started a season.

the intro/promo video is worth to watch repeatly... rclxm9.gif

most of us here using ADSL 1024/384 only 2 or 3 drivers using ADSL 512/384 but that is not important...the main important is the dedicated server running SDSL 2048/2048 and able to handle 24 to 32 players online... drool.gif

once u bought it, don't forget to download the CTDP FIA F1 2005...a must have !!! the sounds was so fantastic.... thumbup.gif

I don't know about keyboard players but this sim responds soooo much better to a wheel and pedals than F1C. I still haven't gone online to buy it because I'm hooked now on no aids with auto-clutch right now, just too busy. tongue.gif
