QUOTE(Redline @ Jul 1 2006, 11:00 PM) it's ok, take your time learning the manual...once u master it...u'll love it... Care to elaborate?all of us using same MOMO as yours except Kimi (custom made with clutch... ), and some of us using two MOMO pedal as clutch... Those two (2) pedals were brakes and acceleration right? You guys set those two as clutch? Accelerate with what? Brakes with what? etc. |

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jul 2 2006, 01:09 AM) anyways, as long as i can't buy my momo, i can't race teh F3 because of the fishtailing is hard with keyboard. can't buy your momo?anyways, I can make a new mod based on the Formula RF carset with new engine and physics. What do you guys think? I thought you had one. I found Le Mans (from Gran Turismo 4 for PS2) circuit for F1C. Took 6 minutes or so to complete a lap. Nuts huh? Downloaded it...haven't tried it yet. |

You guys are master on manual driving with clutch and all right?
Is rFactor manual driving similar to F1C? If yes, care to share on how to drive manually? Button settings and all. |

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jul 2 2006, 02:17 AM) rfactor is made by the same guys that made F1C, Image Space Incorporated aka ISI. even the modding is the same. It's just EA distributed F1C and not this. also, please do not post after you post. I can take double posting but triple and more is not a good thing to do in a forum. just edit ur previous post before you find urself being in trouble with a mod. 3 minute?anyways, My momo is busted. *p/s* LeMans is a 3 minute lap. you lost half the time where? Maybe with F1 car kot. In Gran Turismo 4...longer...have to check back..forgot |

QUOTE(Redline @ Jul 2 2006, 10:57 AM) yup, we all drive with NO aids at all...most of the online competition/league will set the same rules also...it's very hard...easy to spin...can't drive aggresively & etc...but's it's challenging to drive fast & consistent...that's what we want... hopefully, using auto makes times 1-2 second slower.will try to upload photo how i set the button on MOMO, but quite busy now practising for tonight race with the rest of the world in F3 VMS League... BTW, practise offline with all aids OFF except clutch...maybe u have do it a hundred/thousand laps....practise practise practise slowly....i can guarantee u will proud driving in pro/expert mode... Really interested to join you guys.
Not fair when a MOMO user go racing against keyboard players. Of course MOMO user are slower because it's not easy to brake and accel with pedals and steering wheel. Also, MOMO use cockpit view as those keyboard players using other views. But 1st, needs to learn driving manually...clutch and gear Did that during P licence What a nightmare...so bad at it. QUOTE(Redline @ Aug 28 2006, 12:17 AM) Just came back from Endau-Rompin...a tired journey.. .almost 6hrs trip plus trafic jam from senawang to nilai... watching your driving station...makes me wonder, what do you use for clutch?Server now running GP2 Mod (Zero-g VMS), members plz download the mod from the FTP server. Kimi, Add Part 5 - when it's 100% done, courier to my house.... Heard the G25 will be in the market sometime in Oct/Nov this year (not sure). It cost ~ USD299 (the preview seems to be OK but wait for the review after the release...will consider buying it if everything OK...or else will go for FREX) AMDunFreak, here's my setup for the racing sims, the momo will be replaced with the new Logitech G25 Steering Wheel soon. About the late braking, i won't do that unless desperate to overtake or been pushed... Sometimes it lock the tire. Knowing the limit is the key, only practise can improve. This is my driving technique, brake late & hard & downshift until car feel fishtail, reduce the brake 50% and at the same time apply some throttle 30%-50% basically to do some weight transfer balance. Different people got different style. |

QUOTE(Penzman @ Sep 3 2006, 02:23 AM) I don't know about keyboard players but this sim responds soooo much better to a wheel and pedals than F1C. I still haven't gone online to buy it because I'm hooked now on no aids with auto-clutch right now, just too busy. at least you're busy...I'm strugglin even with manual shifting TC OFF? A nightmare...maybe would be ok with manual shifting. Ease on the throttle right? |

QUOTE(kimi @ Sep 5 2006, 08:24 AM) dude - whut happened last night?? i ran into Ron's BAR during start (sorry Ron), lost my front wing (and front suspension? damaged set to 100%?), and before turn 4 i got connection lost and out of the session - did u guys actually finished the test race?? need to learn how to setup the car - last night only changed gear ratio and switched to soft compound, dunno what to do with the rest of the setup tweak. btw CTDP 2005, my setup at default for 12 laps, during qualify i went out for 8 laps fuel, did not complete any time, set the fuel at 15 laps, went out for my times - come race time automatically i start at 12 laps?? - i think we need to set the fuel before qualifying session start?? p.s. Penzman u hav any other Villenevue avatar with better hairdo QUOTE(izzNatta @ Sep 5 2006, 10:39 AM) No prob bro... so what do you think about Ractor CTDP F1 2005 better then F1C? I'm slowly beginning to try.IMO it is.... The sound, immersion and even the speed visual are better... hope more will come and join the "NO AIDS" driving. Good drive by Penzman & Evohahn!!! Played F1C with steering asst. OFF...quite ok with heavy fuel. Strugglin though..what a nightmare I think take I'll take it slow...1 step at a time. |
