the A1GP Mod is The Open Wheel Series 2006. We are playing just now ~ 7 drivers and suddenly one nickname come in and straight away go out, i believe it's from local cause his nickname is "*****".

may i ask? why i cannot select a single F1 car for the CTDP mode?
it says experience point needed 15999?

you can buy only the Minardi at first. then you need to rack up the experience point by racing and testing, than unlocking the season mode. after 3 season you can buy a new car....

1. Goto folder rFactor\Userdata\Yourname

2. Edit the F1CTDP.cch file using notepad

3. Third Row, change the Experiance Value to 5000000

Now u can buy any F1 car.....

the minardi handling is different from the game included BMW sauber.
sauber handles better.

I copy their MOMO setting from the forum. If u have some joining time out problems, try to replace the NetCommUtilPlugin.dll inside the plugin rFactor folder. Use the link above to search the files. If u can't find it, let me know, i'll email the files.

To join our server just hit join, rFactor will auto select the mod & u just choose the car to drive. If matchmaker temporary down, use racecast to connect to the server.

For your info, i just change the server mod to run the Lienz Festival 2006 Mod due to some technical problems of the "Open Wheel Series 2006".

Anybody noticed an ode to this forum on the A1GP petronas car. look at the left side nosecone and you'll see

but the AI for offline racing seems to have problem as the car won't go faster than 40KPh...... WTH?
editing rcd files also didn't help

not sure cause haven't tried with AI yet.... but we feel it a bit unrealistic... too fast & easy to drive compared with Armaroli MOD. We have to skip this mod. Still waiting GP2 Mod from Zero-g (VMS).

While waiting the GP2, ETCC, DTM, JGTC & NAGT mod.... we are playing Megane Trophy mod...

A1 mod will not be updated/tweaked/talked about as problem arose with the A1 GP association and also with IDt and D3 mod groups

if that's true...so sad..it's the future of race sim...they said that a year ago they want to promote the A1GP...

linkinstreet, mind to teach us how to paint the skin (Megane).... We are planning to run our league with our own custom skin.

Europe & US racers are very happy with our Dedicated Server...their ping < 250ms. So far tested with 18 online racers around the world with no laggy, the server can go max 32 players.

Download from the nVdia website the DDS plugin for Photoshop. but you also need the original PSD files, as editing the DDS file will not give good colours as there are only one layer that you can edit.
also download the MAS extractor from rFactor's site

when attacking a corner.
how would you guys do it?
brake hard at the extreme end and turn in?
or roughly at the half range, with half brake?
or at the far range, with 30% brake?

normally how would you brake?

I normally do a half braking between 100-50meters b4 attacking a corner plus downshifting...but I have to make sure that this engine braking and my speed is balance together or else I'll get my wheel locked and probably spin my car. As my car reached the apex, that is where I continue accelerate.

If you are into last minute braking....you shud ask izznatta or redline..they're the expert in this technique. I dunno how they'ed do it...but I tell you they do a hard braking without locking their wheels at 50meters and they still can attack the corners right guys??

By the way, to redline....I like the snapshot of my Megane!! Cun giler!!!!
