Thanks. It's my pleasure.

For 185/60 R14, I've used Yokohama A. Drive before which is now replaced by Yokohama Blue Earth AE01. If it's similar to A. Drive, you may consider my experience with the tyre below (if I remember correctly):

Pros:
1. Soft tyre = Nice grip on dry road.
2. Soft tyre = Quiet.
3. Soft tyre = Help to absorb a bit of impact from holes.
4. Good stopping power.

Cons:
1. The Pros from #1 to #4 became the opposite gradually as the thread wear off and rubber hardens.
2. I still remember that the noise was unbearable and tyre getting more slippery when there was around 45% thread left.
3. Aquaplaning is worse than Bridgestone AR10 and EP200.
4. Thread wore off quite fast but not as speedy as the Goodyear NCT 5.

Additional note: A worker at the tyre shop shared his experience with me in regards to the Yokohama A. Drive R1 which he was using. He told me that he regretted as the tyre was super noisy even when brand new.

So far in my experience, I prefer Bridgestone AR10 among the rest which I've used. Performance is good, consistent and thread wear is not bad (but I don't think it's as high mileage as EP200). 2nd to that is the EP200. I have a feeling that Pirelli P1 could be the one above AR10 and EP200 except noise level.

AFAIK, Bluearth AE01 is a completely different line up in which the A drive is still in production (as with A drive R1):
http://www.yokohamatire.jp/yrc/japan/searchbytirebrand.html
japan don't seem to be selling a drive/a drive r1/c drive/c drive 2 so Yokohama australia lol:
http://www.yokohama.com.au/Tyres/A-Drive.aspx

anyways i've personally used a drive and AE01 myself, albeit both are on different cars, they are vastly different.
to put into perspective, the ae01 on the sentra is 195/60/15, while the a drive on the iswara was 175/70/13 and funnily, the ae01 is much lighter in weight, and waaayyyy softer.

it's like the tire is made out of fluff or something, like you're driving on pillows.

performance is ok if you're driving civilly, although i hate the steering response due to the damn soft sidewall. (could be biased as i'm someone who's own TWO sets of Advan Neova AD08R separately on my iswara and Inspira.)

personally, i find the A drive being rubbish aside from being dirt cheap smile.gif
another thing to note, the worker at the tyre shop could be very misinformed as a drive r1 is an entry level sport tire (below S drive), similarly to the ATR sport:
http://global.yokohamatire.net/products/adrive_r1.html
in my experience, almost all directional tires tend to be worse on NVH.
so there you go smile.gif

Thanks for sharing bro. Looks like you have a lot of different cars at home. notworthy.gif

My experience is based on the same car with different tyres only. wink.gif

Anyway, I believe every tyre out there fits a purpose and targeting different user.

np, not entirely my cars, however i do maintain them since females (majority anyways) don't really care about automotive lol.
my own ones are the iswara/inspira biggrin.gif

most of my experience are very limited to Yokohama since i tend to visit nestum lol
hence i tend to explore/gather various feedbacks from other brands that i am intrigued with, such as Michelin/Bridgestone in particular.
not exactly fond of the XM2, so ecopia ep200 is a good alternative.

out of topic:
on the extreme categories i am looking forward to the dunlop direzza zii star spec biggrin.gif

Hello all, sorry for the late reply. I have decided to change the new tyre Ecopia EP200, 195/55R15 bought for RM175 for four tyres, RM700 in total + RM20 Nitro Gas + FOC Alignment.

I am sharing my experience based on Bridgestone Potenza Tyre, which comes originally with my Vios previously.

Of course, comparing both of the prices, these 2 tyres are definitely 2 very big different range of tyre. It is not as stable as Potenza, can't cut corner as well as Potenza. However, if you talk about quiet-ness, it is definitely much better. I am quite surprised with the noise reduction after changing this tyre. I felt more bumpy & uneven road with this tyre.

I felt it was really value for money, factoring in the price I get with the comfort level I get.

My friend who change as the same time with me, driving a Pesona, has very big difference when it comes to consumption of petrol. Previously he was getting 350KM per tank, now he can travel more than 400KM, which I think is a great improvement in Petrol Consumption. I'm not very sure what brand he used previously, he was saying cornering, driving in the rain is much better compare to his old tyre. He is one satisfied customer!

I drove my friend's Vios with Michelin XM2, who also just changed this recently. I felt that BS EP200 is slightly more quiet compared to XM2, whereas XM2 has the advantage in cornering and stability.

anyone here had any idea approximate how many km's EP200 can travel ?
im currently running on a 205/50R16 Falken ZE522 which i did 22k.

Due to my workload that need me to travel around peninsular, therefore durability and fuel efficient are my main concern. Average 110 - 140 km/p highway drive.

My budget would be not more than 250 per piece.
Any good recommendation out there as i might change mine tyres soon.

Hey everyone ! I'm driving a Vios 1.5G, looking to change a 195/55R15 tyres.
At first my first choice is Michelin PS3, because this tyre has the most positive reviews among all.

My main criteria is comfort and quiet. My friend recommended me Bridgestone Ecopia EP200. It was mentioned that it's quality is able to compete with XM2, of course lose to PS3. But if calculate on price to quality, Bridgestone is more worth it. The price difference is around RM90 between EP200 and PS3.
I can't really find much review on this particular tyre, anyone can provide any advice?

Try yo use yokohama c-drive 2.i just change all 4 tyre 2 month ago.this tyre price is below rm200.the performance is very good on dry or wet road.i try hard cornering also no tyre sound coming out.only the bad of this tyre is little bit noise because of rough pattern tyre.so far till now the tyre still like new.

bought ep200 for 160 per pc. Traded in my old turanza for 20 per pc. Size is 185.60.14. Balancing free while alignment is 20 per car. Price is reasonable compared to some of the shops in pj asking for 190 onwards.

Real lousy tyres!!

Now that I have gotten that out of my system, let me share some thoughts.

Tyres Used:
Bridgestone Ecopia E200 215/55/17, used for 1.5 months
Michelin XM2 205/55/16, current set used for 9 months

1. I see various comparisons of Bridgestone Ecopia E200 with XM2, that is an absolute joke! If you exclude price there is absolutely no reason to put the 2 tyres together.

2. My experience with the Bridgestone Ecopia tyre:
Pros:
- Cheap (but for the experience it's very low value)

Cons:
- NOISE: this is my biggest gripe, the tyres are NOISY! mine is less than 2 months yet in the cabin you can really hear the tyre humming loudly. Dont have that on my XM2.
- Bad design. After less than 2 months use, the wear on the side threads makes it look like a really worn tyre. Not sure how it affects cornering grip but darn't try.
- Heavy: even on day of my tyre change, lifting both old tyre (Toyo) and the Bridgestone, I realised that the Bridgestone is much heavier. Then, I put it to maybe the old one is used hence lighter. But I recently lifted a Korean tyre and even that seems a bit lighter. Maybe it's because of the ECO thingy.
- Grip: not as confidence inspiring as the XM.

I would absolutely not recommend this Bridgestone. The noise alone makes it unworthy.

Good luck.

Your own review seems to indicate that your tyre is not probably inflated or the alignment is totally out, and hence the "the wear on the side threads makes it look like a really worn tyre"

And therefore it doesn't sounds like a just review for any brand of tyre.

I got 4 pieces at RM150 each, 185/60/14. Includes balancing and alignment as well. So far so good these tyres, they're quite grippy for eco tyres i feel.

Just bagged a set of ep200 185/55/16 for the Honda city. haven't really put much mileage on it yet but seems like a nice ride back home. It's quieter than the old goodyear assurance by about a couple of db's. Will see how they sound on the highway.
