Real lousy tyres!!
Now that I have gotten that out of my system, let me share some thoughts.
Tyres Used:
Bridgestone Ecopia E200 215/55/17, used for 1.5 months
Michelin XM2 205/55/16, current set used for 9 months
1. I see various comparisons of Bridgestone Ecopia E200 with XM2, that is an absolute joke! If you exclude price there is absolutely no reason to put the 2 tyres together.
2. My experience with the Bridgestone Ecopia tyre:
Pros:
- Cheap (but for the experience it's very low value)
Cons:
- NOISE: this is my biggest gripe, the tyres are NOISY! mine is less than 2 months yet in the cabin you can really hear the tyre humming loudly. Dont have that on my XM2.
- Bad design. After less than 2 months use, the wear on the side threads makes it look like a really worn tyre. Not sure how it affects cornering grip but darn't try.
- Heavy: even on day of my tyre change, lifting both old tyre (Toyo) and the Bridgestone, I realised that the Bridgestone is much heavier. Then, I put it to maybe the old one is used hence lighter. But I recently lifted a Korean tyre and even that seems a bit lighter. Maybe it's because of the ECO thingy.
- Grip: not as confidence inspiring as the XM.
I would absolutely not recommend this Bridgestone. The noise alone makes it unworthy.
Good luck.
