As not much feedback on Fotile, I end up getting the Crosover Robam Hood.
The shop showed us the spiral suction method that Robam uses and also the suction on the 6kg solid timber board which was really impressive.
Hope its a good buy
There are plenty of positive feedback online for fotile or you are saying the salesperson in the exhibition unable to explain detail info about Fotile ? I bliv so as they hire many part time promoters. For those who need detail info and good explanation can drop by my shop, we also provide good prices and special offer this month.
Just my thinking not tested, A hood is to suck out smoke and grease that is in the smoke, if you suck using spiral method, dont you think the grease will have a little chance spin out and separated from the smoke? Hence leaving your cooking area more oily?
Sucking smoke is different from sucking heavy objects, you can pinjam their board and go fotile to test

i bliv it will be able to hold it as well, this is just gimmick. Smoke is light and could go all around your kitchen, you need to be able to contain the smoke efficiently and extract it out from your kitchen. Fotile W (wing type plate), Fotile EH10BQ (3D Air Curtain) and Fotile JQG 9009 (baffle plate with slanted hood technology) have added technology to contain smoke for easy extraction, hence efficient and low noise level as the higher the suction power, the noisier the hood.
Here is an example, a father has no problem holding his kid from running around but catching him while running is a problem
