Not free recently. Just curious whether new series will perform better than old series as the price for ems9020 (entry of fotile wing series) already close to eh10bq (is mid range series?).
*
EMS9020 is slightly cheaper than EH10BQ, these two hoods have their on advantages

High efficiency and low noise = EH10BQ

High Suction and design = EMS 9020

High suction, high efficiency and low noise level = EMS 9016

Best Performance, easy maintenance, highest odor reduction = JQG 9009S

If u ask me which to choose EH10BQ or EMS 9020, i go for EH10BQ. Among this 4, if u ask me, i get
JQG 9009S which is what i m using now.

I am looking to replace my current spoilt MILUX built-in gas hob. Budget can go till RM700, but if i can find a good and reliable brand of RM500 and less, then that would be great. Can anybody recommend one?

To shortlist:
1) Check your current built in size or hole on your table
2) Check which brands have the size and fall within your budget
3) Check online review on the shortlisted model

My suggestion :
Rinnai as it is within your budget, has flexible cut out and reputable brand

Looking for a good hood which does not require any ducting, as I have space constraint with kitchen cabinet and want to save space. Also, my hood location is quite far to do a ducting to external wall. Please assist. Thanks.

As not much feedback on Fotile, I end up getting the Crosover Robam Hood.

The shop showed us the spiral suction method that Robam uses and also the suction on the 6kg solid timber board which was really impressive.

Hope its a good buy

There are plenty of positive feedback online for fotile or you are saying the salesperson in the exhibition unable to explain detail info about Fotile ? I bliv so as they hire many part time promoters. For those who need detail info and good explanation can drop by my shop, we also provide good prices and special offer this month.

Just my thinking not tested, A hood is to suck out smoke and grease that is in the smoke, if you suck using spiral method, dont you think the grease will have a little chance spin out and separated from the smoke? Hence leaving your cooking area more oily?

Sucking smoke is different from sucking heavy objects, you can pinjam their board and go fotile to test smile.gif i bliv it will be able to hold it as well, this is just gimmick. Smoke is light and could go all around your kitchen, you need to be able to contain the smoke efficiently and extract it out from your kitchen. Fotile W (wing type plate), Fotile EH10BQ (3D Air Curtain) and Fotile JQG 9009 (baffle plate with slanted hood technology) have added technology to contain smoke for easy extraction, hence efficient and low noise level as the higher the suction power, the noisier the hood.
Here is an example, a father has no problem holding his kid from running around but catching him while running is a problem smile.gif

Maybe the Fotile salesperson not too good explaining I am not sure. He did not do much demo except telling me it gas good suckling power (1400).

What impressed me a lot about Robam was he used a water vapour machine under a Rinai Hood (not sure what model). Then switch on the Robam Crossover next to it....the smoke actually moved over to the hood next door! My wife totally fell for it! Maybe a gimmick I don't know but that was a real good sales pitch.

Am currently using fagor for the last five years. My only complaint is they out sourced the operation & after sales. Had bad experience with the outsource conpany

Can you guys suggest reliable brands with good after sales service?

This was tested in my house, this is to demonstrate how EH10BQ trap smoke (contain it) for easy extraction, hence no need high suction power and lower noise level.

1) Demo shown in shops or exhibitions are not accurate as the height of the hoods are usually installed lower than the standard height of 750mm.

2) Demo during exhibition also less accurate bcoz lots of air con wind blowing and disturbing the suction.

3) Demo in noisy area such as exhibition will cover up the actual noise of the hood, so u cant hear how loud the hood is until u install it at home, then you will start complaining.

Is this the first time u open it up? you need a screw driver to open. To reinstall jus use your hand to tighten back the screw
