My Nephew brought this Used S4-I9505 ap set from his fren. His set is meant for South America Region. (Attached the Screenshot). He wants to flash Malaysia Rom, can he do that? And if he do, can he can get OTA for Malaysia Rom once there is OTA available?

Hi all..

Can I simply move files to my ext sd card?
I mean my downloaded installed games/apps in the device storage move to my ext sd card? (Not rooted..)
Any guidance site?

Will LTE bands in S4 LTE-A work in Malaysia? Cause mine is an S4 LTE-A, straight from Korea and IDK if the LTE bands would go OK here in Malaysia.

but here's the funny thing... the next day after my post, in the morning to be precise, i managed to switched it on. & it worked like nothing happened. weirddddd...

and after 24 hours of using it... it can't be on again!!!!

By default, you can move some apps (especially games, if the apps allowed it, some don't) thru application management to the card PARTIALLY. The data or save games will be saved onto internal memory portion.

What is the SD card for then?....It partially reduced the apps storage size in internal memory but not the whole thing. Some apps don't allow SD card transfer at all like my huge 1GB Chaos Ring games. Some GB size games do (Asphalt 8, etc) that automatically. Most you have to move thru application management in settings. ALL moved apps RETAINED a portion of their data in internal storage, huge portion or not, depends on the apps.

SD cards are useful to store huge libraries of MP3s, videos and photos that might otherwise limits your available internal storage size greatly. If you don't store MP3s, videos and photos at all, then SD card is not truly necessary especially if you have the 32GB LTE phone or your got lots of GB size apps ala games.

Do you have Kies running in the baackground? If you do, close it and try again. Or you could try again with a different cable (if you have more than 1).
A troll question, are your phone in download mode?

EDIT: Try flashing again with different USB ports.

I wanna ask something, I bought my S4 at DirectD shop at SS15. The sales assistant said that my set is SME Set, i checked the box got SME logo. But they didn't registered my phone online.

a) How do i register my phone?

Right now, i have a problem. I suddenly crack the my phone screen. Inner phone screen crack and after the screen crack, got NO Display at all. The phone screen covered by the warranty or not? Or I need to pay it eventhough I send my phone to Samsung Service centre?

You might want to check your warranty validity first.
Do this: PC <space> IMEI number to 33802 (celcom) or 62002 (digi/maxis). Get your IMEI by the back of your phone, under the battery cover.

my dad'd S4 alway have this screen freeze issus..clean install few times doesnt help..any more ideas?
