1) If rooted..upgrade/update can be done manually via Odin.
- otherwise flash back full stock firmware then factory reset it if you wanna receive OTA.

2) Depends on your luck when send the phone to service centre. As far as I know SC still accept warranty claim even when the Knox triggered.

ok so i've upgraded to 4.3 & have been using it normally for 2 weeks... no problems whatsoever.

but last nite, coz of CNY & all, was out late & had it running down to 4% battery life. came back home & charged it & passed out straight after. i remember it being charged coz i've set the screen to be on when charging.

but when i woke up this afternoon, the phone is dead. totally hard bricked. no response to anything. tried downloader boot nor charging.

WHAT AM I TO DO?!?!? someone please help. does anyone know where i can send it to?!

bare in mind my unit was bought from overseas (a gift from my brother) so all warranties are void already. chances of sending it back is highly unlikely coz he bought it off a website too...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP...

On the I9500 running 4.2.2, if I flash custom recovery and custom ROM, what will be triggered other than the 'official' thingie (which can be easily restored by flashing stock 4.2.2 again)? Any counters? If so, I read at XDA that the I9500 counter cannot be reset with Triangle Away, unlike I9505. Is this true? How to flash custom ROM safely with regards to warranty? I don't have the KNOX counter yet.

Can boot into download mode? Start phone with Vol Down, Home and Power buttons.

Normal issue for Samsung S4,

When i bought this phone, it's kinda irritating for me because of the heat.

Now, it's been 3 month i'm using this phone. I'm get used to this issue. laugh.gif
