LOL !!!!!!  agree, some ppl buy SG set because of cheaper price, that's fine bcoz everyone have their own choice. but when s**h hit the fan (BLOD ), they still go for Sony MY, if Sony MY cannot offer fast service as they wish, then they start bi***ing & pointing finger on Sony MY even thought they not buying from local Sony. WTF ?
*

If you're a MP player, I guess it's worth it. If you're just buying for the SP Campaign...meh...I don't think it's worth it. tongue.gif

You must be talking about this guys here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3074207

All of them did not buy from Sony Malaysia & got the balls to complain about the appalling service they get when they went to claim warranty.

I heard from someone at the Curve that regional warranty only applies if you bought PS4 from Sony Stores or authorized dealers in SEA & not from some ah beng shop like qishan or whatever they call themselves.

This is what happens when you buy on impulse just to save money. (pun intended) tongue.gif

I may be late to the party, so apologies beforehand. I registered my set (purchased from AGC Curve) online to get the extended 90 days warranty. So this means that I have what, 1 year + 3 months warranty? That's standard right?

I know you are all asking about the RM 150 1+2 warranty, but if I only register my hardware online, I should still be able to send it to Sony Centre *IF* anything happens right? hmm.gif

If you registered online, then you get 1 year + 3 month warranty & yes, you can send your PS4 to Sony Malaysia but you will probably get lousy service like those guys in the BLOD thread because you did not buy from Sony Malaysia.

From what I heard, Sony Malaysia gives priority to it's customers first.

priority should be same for every SONY costumer
i dont see apple giving ppl who buy their stuff from other region crappy services
(unless warranty not applicable in that country)

Hey, guys.

Not sure asked before but previously based on my knowledge, i thought we can only activate one PSN account as Primary in one system.

For my case, when I fresh boot the PS4 for the first time and sign in two PSN account which are Malaysia & Hong Kong.
I set my Hong Kong as Primary.

That day I used my Malaysia PSN to purchase Assassin's Creed 4 and I noticed that whenever I shut down PS4 and reboot it back, I will see a "Lock" icon beside the Start there. If I press Start, it will say that the application cannot be launched due to unable to verify the user.
And it takes time to verify once it has internet connection.

If switch to Hong Kong PSN, same issue with the "Lock" there.

Then I tried to activate Malaysia PSN as primary only the problem being solved with both account Eligible to launch the game.

After settle this, I tried login my Malaysia PSN and check the digital game purchased from Hong Kong PSN and to my surprise, it still Primary account status.

So means one PSN account can only be set into two PS4 but only 1 can be set as Primary account with Trophy eligible while second one unable?

what rubbish company? this is their standard operating procedure. you buy from ah beng shop is called sony customer? only in your dreams.

as long as they don't have any record that you did not buy from any sony stores or dealers in SEA region, they consider your console as a gray import & they won't waste their time & resources to entertain your warranty claim.

I'm a bit puzzled here. With the regional warranty in effect, if the console bought is from

a) the countries part of the regional warranty program
b) and the consoles themselves have been launched there officially
c) the serial numbers are correct

then the term "grey import" ceases to be relevant, doesn't it?
