Lol.. But usually it touches my face when I talk.. The screen shouldn't be active when my face is near anyways..

you only have to touch the top part where the sensor is located to your ear. than it will turn off

Did so but it will cost some damage to the rubber on the base of the dock, that's my way
Another forumer did so without stripping the end of the base rubber tape.
As there are hidden screws under the base tapes

this is very good news for us! Z1 is still a flagship until at least the Mobile World Congress this end February. Anything could be possible there as Samsung announces the S5.

Anybody wants to try this root method?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2572988

I'm attempting this as well. But kinda lazy wanna root phone :s

I can confirm the [NUT] method works entirely. ZeneticX

Just that with this method you will definitely lose all your data (i.e photos on internal storage, apps, etc)

i see 1 problem with this method. the TWRP in my phone cannot read the files in my ext SD card. all these while i place the flashable zip in my internal storage to flash since TWRP can't read my ext sd card.

so for me i dunno how to proceed

So the Z1s is actually a rebadged Z1 for T-Mobile? How disappointing.

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/sony-xper...hone,25604.html

I think the only difference is an additional app and a different position for the headphone jack and 32GB built in storage.

well, in the early rumours already mentioned the z1s is an operator specified model.
then later on z1s was rumours to be the international name for z1 mini rclxub.gif
then later says the z1s is the z1 refresh... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

anyway, glad that it's finally announced and clear the clouds

The z1s should be just called z1c

The casing is a plastic frame unlike the alumunium frame found in z1. Its hard a refresh of z1. More like a dumb down z1
