QUOTE(REVIVE @ Jan 24 2014, 01:43 PM) Greetings To all, Let me introduce myself. I am from puchong and own a persona 1.6 AT Persona(IAFM) --Metal Grey-- mileage about 276,000 I have been driving her for 5 years. So far no major problems and i have converted to NGV 3 years ago. Currently i am looking for a complete repair/service manual and i dont think we can get it for free. I have done alot of searching...but its not there. However ,i came across this link ( http://e-bookmanual.com/productsproton.html ) --scrool down till you see Proton Gen2/ Persona ...where they provide a complete of 1500 pages of tear down repair/service for Proton Persona/Gen 2 ( S4P and S4PH). The price is about RM 662. I am really intrested of getting a copy and i am looking for some of you guys to share the... In this case we can reduce the price by sharing the copy (Soft-copy).Each one of you will get a full copy. Please check the link for sample. Example: RM662 divide by 10 person = RM62 per person RM662 divide by 15 person = RM44 per person If you want to tag with me, please add your name: Share: 1. REVIVE |

QUOTE(FreakyRookie @ Jan 25 2014, 10:46 PM) No... I was actually saying that the Personas sold in the UK and Australia (to my knowledge) has a front strut tower brace included as standard, and it looks very much like the one in the picture of the SV's engine bay, and since the Persona isn't very popular in both of the aforementioned countries, Proton used the bars instead in the local SVs. Slightly off topic here.
On FC, how do you guys get best out of your Persona auto? The best I could achieve is about 8L/100KM. About RM0.16 per KM, approximate.. My driving style: RPM less than 2.5K most of the time, and avoid jam roads if can even if it takes larger detour. Hmm. Does FireStorm helps? My car is on the way to 20,000 KM! |

QUOTE(gcooi90 @ Jan 26 2014, 06:40 PM) Slightly off topic here. I doubt any add on can actually decrease the FC. Of course, taking out the spare tyres, reduce extra "baggage" (go gym), will help also....ever so slightly. My meter almost always show 7+l/100km but when avg the filled petrol, 8+l/100km, so if you read from meter, I suggest you go the manual way of fill petrol full tank avg to calc.On FC, how do you guys get best out of your Persona auto? Does FireStorm helps? My car is on the way to 20,000 KM! PE seems to excel and somehow save petrol and higher speed (rpm) coz its optimal torque come in pretty late. So lower than 2.5rpm at lower speed is not really an optimal rpm reading for FC savings unlike other car makes with higher torque and lower weight ratio (aka City, vios, etc). |
