Haiz, yesterday at 11pm, gua go knock onto a bmw x3, damage his rear bumper. My bonnet and front bumper damaged, radiator assumed kena since got a bit of water come out. Have to kena chop and pay RM150 for immediate tow to police station do report. When towing back to klang later, I think tow truck scratch/bend my undamaged front skirting, no don't know can claim or not. RM150 for "discounted" summon and RM50 for immediate report issued (rather) then come to balai later.

Losing my 55% ncd coz of the bmw x3 rear bumper cost almost 2K or so, not to mention my car repair cost should be around 1.5K kuah..

All in all I truly POKAI liao....both meaning also can...1st pokai meaning, empty pocket, 2nd pokai meaning in Cantonese...

Follow to close....but bmw 4wd in front, so cannot see further up ahead when they all brake hard (2 other cars in front also bang).

Brake but tyre skid, its partly too close, too fast but one condition added to it....my tyre thread only slightly above minimum indicator thus for NCT5, the braking strength of the tyres are already reduced to less than 50%. Just discovered that a few days ago and intend to change this weekend or next to Yokohama CD2.

Now pokai already. The so-called insurance payment is not really free for me coz I calculated...its almost the same amt with my lost NCD 55% if when calculated for the next 5 years to reach back 55%. So its just a 5 years instalment payment for me, meaning I still have to pay for my lost AND the bmw ones over 5 years period instead.

ic thanks..tthen i guess follow SC 10w/40 ok lo
*
If you really want to know what is the difference in 5W40 and 10W40, its the cold rating. 5W can be used in sub zero temperature without lube thickening badly in cold.

For our weather it really does not matter. 5W is usually only available with fully synthetic or possibly semi lube due to its enhanced synthetic content. Mineral lube usually 10W along with most semi.

the rating 30 is thinner than 40. 40 is thicker thus is more suitable for higher temp driving such as high speed highway run. Most new foreign cars (that includes Honda, Toyota, etc) usually goes for 30 as its engine tech are cool enough especially for City drive, more save fuel. Cars like minis usually recommend 40 due to its powerful engine that are more suitable for high speed drive. Don't know why campro engine goes for 40 instead of usual 30 (Preve goes for 30 by default), maybe due to conservative thinking and probably not sufficient cooling tech or maybe ini engine more suitable for mid-high rev speed running.

if it's me, i'll drive slow just as  usual unker driving slow.
tired, sick and sleep is not good condition to drive fast. u should be thinking of your loved one, especially ur daughter. please remember that. thankful that you are ok.
inb4 pandu cermat jiwa selamat poket selamat.

Its not really fast but more like too close FOR the distance between cars. When I bang, my bag on front sit barely move, so its not a high speed bang. That's why only kena the middle part causing bonnet to bengkok, the front logo and bars probably hit the radiator slightly. All my lights are intact. The only reason I forfeit my NCD is replacement cost of the BMW X3 bumper around 2K. If its an audi A6 with replacement the rear lamps costing tens of thousand for A6, its the insurance that's gonna pay also but at least it truly justify the cost of losing my NCD. Now the X3 cost plus mine barely makes the cost of NCD but no choice since its near there and I can pay instalment for that instead of 1 lump sump 3K-4K.

Everyday I also run that road at same speed.....abt 60-80km/h depending on traffic condition. Its not especially fast that night, just the usual speed. My unker driving technique usually allows me to brake in time as I usually observer 2 to 3 cars ahead, so when the 1st car emergency brake, my auto respond is brake even before the car in front of me brake. This time, its my negligence for following to close behind a 4WD that does not allow me to see the cars in front.

Did not ask you to buy itu bike costing 1K and above. Got a 1.5K bike at home collecting dust now. Go buy those chopper or something like my daughter mountain bike, only RM700.

Frankly, the wear and tear parts like air filter, oil filter, etc quite cheap when compared with other makes. However my CVT (gear oil) for City cost me abt RM110 only. Don't know why PE gear oil need to hit RM150 instead.

QUOTE(dragonteoh @ Mar 20 2014, 12:23 PM)
Hi guys,

Do you guys know how to disassemble the driver side door panel ? Well, recently my PE central alarm was sot already.
When slam/close the door, it auto lock the door (randomly).  (I din press remote / Handbrake is engage / Brake Pedal is disengage / Car engine is started/off)

This happen quite random. And i suspect the door lock gun on driver side is the one who cause that.

I test with Open the door (Leave the driver side door open), then press Lock Door from control panel, all door lock except the driver door which go lock on half way then unlock again.

Then tried use hand manually press the lock knob down, it was stuck at middle and cannot press further down.

But when i close the door and try, it was able to function properly as well as the door knob.

Sometimes after drive the car out from garage, step out from car while engine on to close the house gate, come back wanna open door, ishhhhh~~~~ when i pull the door handler , it lock the door on the spot.

or sometimes when i slam / close the door, it auto lock itself >.<  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  scary , macam got hantu.....
Beside that, the aircond also got hantu  sweat.gif , insert key, turn to ON, the aircond sendiri will on itself then off then on then off, sometime auto on for certain second then off. I have to manually turn the know on then off then only it permanent off.

Check from many forum , i think this is common issue on persona. Some owner change the panel but problem might come back again, the panel cost RM700+ (gila price).
So i just leave it  whistling.gif  whistling.gif

Don't leave the knob near the off setting (low temp), switch it a few click higher and see if it off itself or not. If the knob is indeed loose, the temperature will go higher and lower and vice versa, will not off coz off is a few clicks away. If knob loose and warranty over, you have no choice but to leave it or pay for it. My panel changed since 9 months ago (changed near end of warranty). So far, no re-occurrence yet.

Not tailgating lar. Just happen when reaching at that point of the road, the car is in front, when past that point usually distance between cars increase. Unker too old to tailgate and rarely tailgate unless rushing to meet girlfriends. Unfortunately did not have one, so no tailgating.

Hi guys. Newbie here, I got my persona sv yesterday. I've got some questions after driving for some times.

1. The passenger door seems like harder to close or open? is it normal?
2. It is an auto and i realised that driving uphill is a bit harder although it is 1.6. I feel like driving a myvi... sad.gif
3. Door at the driver seat is kinda funny, sometimes it can't b opened... sad.gif

Do i need to take it to sc now?
*
Guess you never read the details abt PE. PE although having 110 or is it 109 horsepower, at 1,.6cc is very heavy when compared with other 1.6cc cars. Don't compare with 1.6cc car with turbo lar.

The stronger horsepower (really stronger meh, coz city at 1.5cc can generate 110hp for old ones, 122hp for the new ones) was practically neutralized by the heavy weight (city weight 1 ton, PE 1.2 ton) and our outdated 4 gear auto transmission further seep the hp off until with got only 70++ on the wheel hp left. Old City have 90+ on the wheel hp due to less power loss due to CVT tranny.

If its like a robotic turning sound like Robocop turning his waist, when turning the steering wheel regardless of standstill or moving car, then chances are changing steering fluid can solved it.

this is because he using LCP mar, acceleration stronger so easily close-up to the front car(4WD).
if using normal un-mod campro auto like mine, front car easily move-away 2-3 cars distance when i drive normally. if really want to follow-up with them need to press pedal harder.
*
I did not accelerate and bang the car, just running at high speed and too closely during that small stretch. Now that I think of it, actually just 20 seconds before I'm actually having a 2 car gap distance, just when it hit that particular stretch, near the Proton SC in Jln Sg. Besi, it suddenly close the gap drastically.

If unmodded, even worse coz since tak da acceleration power at low to mid speed, I accelerate once and maintain high speed ALL THE TIME when possible coz the moment it slow downs, accelerating to higher speed is taxing to both my fuel and my patience.

Can anyone please check for me if there is only 1 rubber like this on the bonnet or two. I got only one on the right side (standing in front of bonnet). Don't know if left got or not coz the repair workshop opened to check earlier (don't know got lost or not when they open or during the accident).Attached Image
