but sadly i'm not like u guys can have time go buy sparepart then go service elsewhere. that's my dilemma.
no experience about going to outside workshop.
but maybe will ask FIL about his friend's workshop. later will try buy own EO, oil filter & oil gasket then go service there.
or maybe fetch rockoil from kenjlew then go service nearby his place.

In order to get original stuff, I got my lube from Castrol station, all other parts from SC. Then go to my usual mechanic, change oil at RM15. Others not yet try. I'm still thinking of going to SC for my 60K parts change to ensure original parts and ask them to do point check on car.

if it is one night stand philosophy, then i should be using my 9th different type of lube now... but, no. This is only the 4th lube brand I've ever used, minus the original lube from factory.

if you want to put it in an explicit manner, just put it as I am looking for a long term f**k partner, and I've found my second perfect long term f**k partner (Eneos). In case you want to know who is my first f**k partner is, it is TorqNm. Sadly my first partner is now too far so I have to undergo a series of ONS before I take the Eneos as my long term f**K partner. During the period I am busy ONS-ing, don't worry. I practised safe sex (ceratec).

This is deep man....deep.. rclxms.gif

I'm more into stable relationship. The one that come with car tak ngam, so look for one ngam one, might not be the best but satisfactory is the key word here..

oo. ok. Then if go to World Car Care Serdang, the labour can get rm30 oso ka? afraid to come as in the Service Manual wrote rm70 as the labour.

im a cheapskate...  wink.gif

Going elsewhere means voiding warranty for other parts. For Proton, you REALLY need to maintain warranty.

In case for the unlearn newbie, not using SC lube "might" void the engine warranty (so far never heard of anyone actually voiding that). However if you service in SC, all other warranty still stands, including wiring, defect, etc.

Once you service outside, SC got the right to void ALL warranty if they want. Trust me, you'll need them.

Then go ride bicycle lo.  whistling.gif

hmm.gif How's ur car issue on suddenly lost power one? No comeback alreay, right?
*
So far, no re-occurrence although rpm seems to drop faster than I remember previously, the moment I release the accelerator. I don't know if its the gearbox or ratio problem or there is also a possibility my right leg somehow "reset" and I lost the driving style ala acceleration style earlier (I might be getting older, it happened sometimes when I suddenly forgot my "correct" seating position and sometimes have to suffer shoulder pain before "relearning" my seating position.

I'm getting used to the new fast rpm drop and timed it so it does not "pull back" the engine when I let go of the accelerator. Engine and acceleration seems to be going strong ala LCP strength, so I'll live with it. Still have a doubt on possible gear box issue or throttle body dirty or something. Most probably will get it clean after 60K mileage or so (now 57K).

Been lurking here and both my rear doors need slightly more force than normal to close. sad.gif
The stock rear speakers are one of the worst i've heard. Gonna upgrade them soon brows.gif
*

Then probably is the head unit problem  hmm.gif Because mine comes with a free touchscreen unit, which is also terrible, no knobs, everything through the screen and the interface is all over the place. Gonna head to the workshop who provided the touchscreen and request to change to another type.

Might I ask, how am i supposed to adjust the catchplate for the rear doors? From my initial observation they seem to be bolted in one place and cannot be moved around.  hmm.gif
*
From what I see last times, its the door hinge or something that they adjust, not the catch plate.

persona is stable enough if drive fast?
and what ABS + EBD? hmm.gif  unsure.gif
*
Persona stable when drive fast?.....No its not. At 500km/h, it will break to pieces. No recommended to drive fast.

If drive slow slow below 200km/h, nothing beats its stability in its class. So its not really suitable to go fast fast...

Ini cannot help. Persona is a dated car. Going the dinosaur path. If not for proton re-releasing facelift after facelift, ini thread would not exist anymore.

Unfortunately based on current economic condition plus gua punya new economic condition, this dinosaur ride gonna stay with me until I become dinosaur also...

Hey,

Anyone using 195/55/15 on their Persona? Please show me a pic.
This size has more cheap and good tyres.
So might consider downsizing but our cars are so big, yet tyres so small.

Already planning to upsize to 17 soon but, thats just soon.
*
Upsizing to 17" is not really a good idea. There's quite a few fella done that and regretted. Downsized it back to 16". So if you really want upsize, 16" is the one to go for. 17" is too heavy for PE campro engine. Whats the point if it looks good BUT vroom vroom with ppl, then ppl realise you accelerate slower than kura-kura.

Aint nobody got time for vroom vroom lol.
16 is good but have u thought of tyre flex? 205/55/16 right?
U using it?
*
I, ah pek, use stock size, optimum comfortable vs handling for daily ride. All my rides use stock size or common size. Personally I don't like to lower the height of tyres. Impact on the comfortability but increment of handling not on par.

I am using 195/55/15 tyres on original SE rims.
you will see a little more gap between ur tyres and the car body....still acceptable to me
*
Personally, I won't recommend that as it has exceeded 3% diameter difference. Might impact your braking system.

Give you my figure. Im driving persona SV. Mileage 3500km , got it 1 and a half month already.

30% city drive + 70 % highway drive gives you arond 17cent per km, which is 11-12km/Litre .
50% city drive + 50%  highway drive gives you around 21cent per km, which is 10km/Litre.

Do the maths. To me its quite reasonable for such a heavy car.
*
If at least half of your travel is on highway, then PE is ok. However if most of your travel is in the City, prepare of much higher FC. I would go for Myvi or any other less "weighty" car instead. That is unless you're looking for a car with independent boot space whereelse Myvi tak dak butt...

Seriously auto box can cruise 140 at 3k rpm?
*
140km/h usually will be around 3.5 to 3.8rpm for auto. Itu orang cakap 180km/h at 4K rpm tipu punya...at least for our auto. I usually go 130-140 at night drive after working overtime.
